... The inclusion criteria were as follows: (1) age 18-60 years; (2) patients diagnosed with CRPS type 1 or 2 of the lower extremities based on the criteria of Harden et al. (Budapest criteria) 17 ; (3) patients who had undergone LSGB at the L3 level twice before LSGN, followed by ≥ 50% pain relief; (4) patients with pain duration of ≤ 2 years after a painful event; (5) a baseline pain intensity score of ≥ 6 on the visual analogue scale (VAS, 0 = no pain, 10 = worst pain imaginable) after conservative treatment; and (6) patients in whom the affected extremity had a lower temperature (≥ 1 °C) than the unaffected side. ...
