However, DF tasks are mainly used to assess executive functions, such as attentional control, cognitive flexibility, self-monitoring, and strategy use (Goebel et al., 2009;Hurks, 2013;Lezak et al., 2012;Van der Elst et al., 2011) and associations between DF task performance and performance on other executive function tasks are frequently found (Cattelani et al., 2011;Goebel et al., 2009;Tucha et al., 2012).
