What is this page?
This page lists the scientific contributions of an author, who either does not have a ResearchGate profile, or has not yet added these contributions to their profile.
It was automatically created by ResearchGate to create a record of this author's body of work. We create such pages to advance our goal of creating and maintaining the most comprehensive scientific repository possible. In doing so, we process publicly available (personal) data relating to the author as a member of the scientific community.

Biosecurity application in poultry farms means measures or practices which limit or prevent the spread of many harmful pathogens onto or out of the farm. When teamed with disinfection and sanitation procedures, biosecurity practices can eradicate or reduce pathogens to noninfectious levels and this illustrate that prevention is better than cure. Su...
Endemicity of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 and LPAI H9N2 viruses in Egypt represents
a threat to animals and humans. Moreover, introduction of HPAI H5N8 virus into Egypt through migratory birds
during late 2016 increased the challenge. A novel non distributing H5N2 reassortant was recently detected in domestic
ducks in winter 2018....

... The presence of the footbath at the poultry entrance of the farm significantly reduced the AIV transmission and reported odds as 0.49 in the study by Chaudhry et al. (65), whereas, in our study, it was calculated as 0.03. Consistent use of footbaths with potent disinfectants reduces the risk of introducing infectious pathogens to poultry farms, enhancing biosecurity measures in these premises (66). The presence of footbath was correlated with the grazing system of turkey (Cramer's V = 0.40) and the cleaning agent used for floor cleaning (Cramer's V = 0.36), and these variables might have an independent effect on AIV circulation at the farm level. ...
