First international presentation of a stereotactic neurosurgery planning system developed to run under Microsoft DOS for the IBM PC and compatible computers. The name of the system was NSPS and at that time supported images from CT, MRI, X-rays, and DSA.
NSPS had tools for biopsies, stereotactic brachytherapy, functional neurosurgery, stereotactic radiosurgery, and other surgical modalities.
NSPS, at that time, was used in Hospital Hermanos Ameijeiras and Centro Internacional de Restauración Neurológica, in Havana, Cuba.
Eventualy, NSPS became the seed of MSPS and the MNPS.
