As the e-Health world is geared up for a more efficient rollout of fast healthcare resources, we designed our new Rapid Delivery e-Health Service (RDeHS) platform, which not only streamlines standard conformance through emerging technologies in e-Health resources. This paper reports the evolution in our new architectural approach for the purpose of rapid development and deployment of e-Health services to reduce healthcare costs and enhance quality of care.

Big Data is transforming healthcare, business, and ultimately society itself, as e-Health becomes one of key driving factors during the innovation process. We investigate BDeHS (Big Data e-Health Service) to fulfill the Big Data applications in the e-Health service domain. In this paper we explain why the existing Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, MapReduce, STORM and the like cannot be simply applied to e-Health services directly. We then describe the additional capabilities as required in order to make Big Data services for e-Health become practical. Next we report our design of the BDeHS architecture that supplies data operation management capabilities, regulatory compliance, and e-Health meaningful usages.

As the world is gearing up towards implementation of digital healthcare networking solutions, the solution roadmap for a national e-Health interconnection network infrastructure is in great demand. This paper first identifies the major benefits in interconnection services that are critical to universal deployment. Then it provides an overview of our e-Health AON (Application Oriented Network) approach that offers direct support to the aspects of interconnection services, operational management services, and security control services. To further achieve the desired effects, this paper presents performance validation plans to assist the realization of a universal e-Health application interconnection network.
Conference Paper
We examine e-Healthcare security challenges in order to address the emerging needs of a national digital healthcare solution. New security concerns arise in transmitting and processing of electronic medical records, personal healthcare records, patient billing records, as well as public health alerts, across many parties with varying security, privacy and trust levels. Additional security requirements in e-Healthcare settings have to be formulated beyond traditional data networking services. Our results include an e-Healthcare security solution framework that enables multi-party participation, allows variable visibility into selective parts of data, and guarantees end-to-end security control.
Conference Paper
The research efforts for a national eHealth interconnection infrastructure and design guidelines are in great demand. This paper identifies the major challenges in eHealth interconnection network services that are critical to universal deployment. An overview of our solutions framework is summarized with the aspects of interconnection services, operational management services, and security control services.
Conference Paper
From the pervasive application standpoint, healthcare IT (HIT) infrastructure and applications have become enablers to revolutionize the roles and responsibility of the healthcare professionals as well as consumers. This paper describes our research in next generation service creation systems that support pervasive healthcare applications together with additional operational management capabilities. We present a platform level solution for rapid communication session service creation by incorporating existing and new healthcare information network and operational capabilities. We also uncover and re-exam some complexity currently overlooked in large-scale trials at the national level.
