Curious Silences in Healthcare Policy and Research
The report, “Impact of Housing First and Supportive Housing on Frail Seniors: Spotlight on a Langley Social Housing Complex” was authored by the seniors-led volunteer community group, the Langley Seniors Community Action Table (LSCAT) to assess the impact of co-housing Housing First clients (who may require supportive housing for mental health and substance use issue) together with vulnerable, frail low-income seniors at the 600-unit, non-profit social housing complex in the City of Langley, and to recommend steps that could be taken to avert a public health tragedy.
