This study is based upon material collected from different localities of Turkey between 1976-1996, and the other related studies are reviewed. In this study, 15 species and subspecies belonged to 4 genera in the subfamily Masarinae are recorded. The type localities of 4 species and 2 subspecies are in Turkey. Some new localities are found for some species which have already been reported in Turkey.

The material of the family Eumenidae was collected from different localities of Turkey between 1993 and 1994, and the other related studies on the species of Eumenidae in Turkey were reviewed. In this study, 233 species and subspecies belonged to 43 genera in three subfamilies were reported. The type localities of 2 genera, 48 species and 22 subspecies were in Turkey. Odynerus serricrus Blüthgen, Onychopterocheilus hellenicus hellenicus Morawitz, Antepipona insana insana (Giordani Soika), Ancistrocerus ichneumonideus (Ratzeburg) and A. longispinosus longispinosus (Saussure) were new for Turkish fauna. Also one paratype of Ancistrocerus oviventris caucasicus which was described by Gusenleitner was deposited in the Museum of the Entomolgy Department. Some new localities were found for many species which have already been recorded in Turkey.

Fifteen species and subspecies of the genus Pyrobombus are recorded in Turkey. They are listed together with their horizontal and altitudinal distribution, habitats and flowers visited. P. serrisquama is recorded for Turkey for the first time. With 2274 specimens collected, P. incertus proved to be the most widespread and abundant species, recorded from about sea level up to more than 3000 m. It was followed by P. niveatus with 1467 specimens and P. soroeensis with 1400 specimens. P. sulfureu.s was found at only two localities with five specimens, and it should be classified as >endangered<. Kurzfassung: In der Ttirkei wurden bisher 15 Arten und Unterarten der Gattung Pyrobombus nachgewiesen. Sie werden hier zusammen mit ihrer horizontalen und vertikalen Verbreifung, ihren Habitaten und den von ihnen angeflogenen Bliitenpfl ulzen aufgelistet. P. serrisquama wurde zum ersten Mal in der Ttirkei festgestellt. P. incerters stellte sich mit 2274 Exemplaren als die am weitesten verbreitete und h6ufigste Art heraus, die von Meereshohe bis auf tiber 3000 m vorkommt. Ihr folgte P. niveatus mit 1467 Exemplaren und P. soroeensis mit 1400 Exemplaren. P. sulfureus wurde nur an zwei Stellen in insgesamt ftinf Exemplaren gefunden und sie muB als bedroht eingestuft werden.

The faunistic study on Meloidae conducted from 1970s up to 1996 based on the collection of over 4000 specimens and 147 species of 17 genera in two subfamilies are reported. Among them Alosimus reitterianus (Semenov), Coryna confluens Reiche, Mylabris cingulata Falderman, M. colligata Redtenbacher, M. furcimacula Sumakov, M. serana (Escherich), M. suturalis Pic, Meloe ganglbauery Apfelbeck, M. glazunovi Pliginskij, M. rufiventris Germar, M. scabriusculus Brand et Erichson, Apalus bipunctatus Germar, A. spectabilis Schaun, Stenoria analis Schaun and Zonitis nigriventris Motschulsky are new records for the Turkish fauna. Besides that Cerocoma scovitzi intermedia Maran, Lydus anatolicus Muche, L. gibbiger Escherich, Micromerus bitlisensis Kaszab, M. dersimensis Kaszab, M. semiobscurus (Pic), M. tauricus Maran, Mylabris ciliciensis (Escherich), M. concolor Marseul, Oenas armeniacus Kaszab, Lytta vesicatoria heydeni Haag-Rutenberg and Stenodera anatolica Frivaldszky are endemic species and subspecies in Turkey. Host plants of some of the species are recorded, in related to this, Micromerus erivanicus (Maran) is an important pest of flowers of Vicia spp. and Onobrychis sativa; Mylabris quadripunctata (F.) is also pest on soft grain of wheat. The triungulins of Meloe violaceus Mansham are found in the hives of honey bees in some villages of Oltu (Erzurum).

Two species of the Cassidinac and eight species of the Cryptocephalinae (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) are new records for the Turkish fauna. The material is deposited in the Museum of the Plant Protection Department of the Atatürk University, Erzurum, Turkey. Kurzfassung Zwei Arten der Cassidinae und 8 Arten der Cryptocephalinae (Coleoptera: Chrysometidae) werden neu für die Türkei gemeldet. Das Belegmaterial ist im Museum der Abteilung Pflanzenschutz der Atatürk Universität in Erzurum (Türkei) deponiert.

10 species of Paragus Latreille are recorded from Turkey. Paragus (Paragus) kopdagensis n. sp. is described and illustrated. A key to separate P. kopdagensis from the most similar West Palaearctic species (P. absidiatus Goeldlin de Tiefenau, P. punctulatus Zetterstedt, P. albifrons (Fallen)) is given. P. absidiatus, P. azureus scrupens Stuckenberg, P. coadunatus Rondani, P. constrictus Simic, P. oltenicus Stănescu and P. romanicus Stănescu are new records for the Turkish fauna.

The author gives a preliminary list of all valid names of the species and subspecies of the Palaearctic Osmiini, including genera and their subgenera and notes on their distribution. Since Ducke (1900) no comprehensive study of this group of bees has been published. The list is a first step towards a complete revision and should be useful to future workers on this group.
