Introduction
Here we present records of 52 fungal taxa, based
on eld work and on herbarium studies. Total of
18 taxa are New to Finland. Information concern-
ing 21 species recently published elsewere, is
brought together. New records of 8 little collect-
ed and rare species are listed. We also include ad-
ditions and corrections to previous information.
Coordinates are given in Uniform Coordinate

shore of the river Tsarsjoki, W of the cascade. Herb-rich,
temporarily ooded site on a small island, with Betula
and Salix bushes. UCS 66881:33919, coll. Jukka Vauras

Presumably with Betula, in subalpine birch
forests but also in middle and northern boreal
forests at least in oceanic areas. Described this
year (Liimatainen et al. 2014). Section Phlegma-
cioides.

(H); Vantaa, Tikkurila, at the river. On a lawn under Tilia.
Coll. Ilkka Kytövuori 04–044, 22.VII.2004 (H).
In rich mixed forests, in parks, and on yard
lawns with different deciduous trees (Tilia,
Quercus, Fagus, Populus, Corylus, Betula), fairly
rare. Until now all the collections known to us are
from the hemiboreal zone. This species was pre-
viously called C. balteatoalbus in northern Eu-
rope but studies revealed that C. balteatoalbus is
a completely different species and C. balteatibul-
bosus was described therefore (Liimatainen et al.
2014).

... One fungus, various names:-Crepidotus stenocystis was described based on the material from the Czech republic and distinguished by cheilocystidia narrowed apically and inflated near their basal part and the growth on coniferous wood, especially of Picea and Abies (Pouzar 2005). this species concept was adopted e.g. by vesterholt et al. (2010), ripková & Glejdura (2010), Senn-irlet (2012), Bonsdorff et al. (2014), Holec et al. (2015), and Běťák (2015). according to Pouzar (2005), C. stenocystis is identical with the fungus which was previously presented by Senn-Irlet (1995) under the name C. applanatus var. ...
... Crepidotus stenocystis seems to be distributed throughout europe. it has been reported from the Czech republic, denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, italy, the netherlands, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland (Sennirlet 1995, 2012, Pouzar 2005, Gonou-Zagou & delivorias 2005, Bonsdorff et al. 2014. ...

Crepidotus stenocystis and C. brunnescens are morphologically similar species defined by globose to subglobose spores, the presence of clamp connections in all tissues and bottle-like or flask-like cheilocystidia. They are also similar in the pileal aspect which is hygrophanous, glabrous or white-fibrillose, at first white but becoming brownish with age. Each are described from separate continents and have only been reported from their respective continents, C. stenocystis from Europe and C. brunnescens from North America. The phylogenetic analysis of ITS and LSU nrDNA regions from original type material confirms the existence of two distinct species, C. brunnescens that is more closely related to C. malachioides, and C. stenocystis that is more closely related to C. applanatus. Crepidotus stenocystis differs from C. brunnescens by its more prominent spore ornamentation and longer cheilocystidia that are frequently narrowly utriform. Based on the studied material and published data, it seems that C. stenocystis is distributed throughout all of Europe and does not occur in North America, whereas C. brunnescens is only known from Michigan in the USA.

The genus Maasoglossum is examined using morphology, ecology, and molecular systematics of the internal transcribed spacer region and large subunit of the nuclear ribosomal RNA gene, all of which support the placement of Maasoglossum among the basal members of Geoglossomycetes. The morphology of the genus extends the range of ascocarp and ascospore development in Geoglossomycetes. The ecology and conservational significance of the genus is discussed, a nomenclatural transfer of Geoglossum aseptatum to Maasoglossum is made, and an emended description of Maasoglossum is provided.

2014: Inocybe leiocephala, a species with an intercontinental distribution range – disentangling the I. leiocephala – subbrunnea – catalaunica morphological species complex. – Karstenia 54: 15–39. HELSINKI. ISSN 0453-3402. Sequence data and morphological characteristics of specimens determined as Inocybe leiocephala were compared with six type specimens. We confirm I. leiocephala, I. lind-rothii, I. subbrunnea, I. fuscescentipes, I. subpaleacea and I. catalaunica as separate independent species. All species except I. subpaleacea and I. catalaunica were shown to have a broad intercontinental distribution range. Inocybe leiocephala has its main dis-tribution in arctic-alpine and subalpine habitats, and I. lindrothii in hemiboreal – boreal zones. Inocybe subbrunnea is con¿ ned to nutrient rich, often more calcareous soils and mixed coniferous forests. Both I. fuscescentipes and I. subpaleacea, described from the alpine zone, also grow in boreal forests. Inocybe catalaunica is a species well separated from I. leiocephala, I. lindrothii and I. subbrunnea in molecular data and it appears to be more related to I. tjallingiorum and I. phaeoleuca despite macro-morphological simi-larities to the I. leiocephala group. The new species I. ohenojae is described here based on material from the alpine zone in Canada. The new combination Inocybe lindrothii is proposed and an epitype is designated. Inocybe saponacea is regarded as a synonym of I. lindrothii. A key to the species is provided.

Cortinarius is a species-rich and morphologically challenging genus with a cosmopolitan distribution. Many names have not been used consistently and in some instances the same species has been described two or more times under separate names. This study focuses on subg. Phlegmacium as traditionally defined and includes species from boreal and temperate areas of the northern hemisphere. Our goals for this project were to: i) study type material to determine which species already have been described; ii) stabilize the use of Friesian and other older names by choosing a neo- or epitype; iii) describe new species that were discovered during the process of studying specimens; and iv) establish an accurate ITS barcoding database for Phlegmacium species. A total of 236 types representing 154 species were studied. Of these 114 species are described only once whereas 40 species had one ore more synonyms. Of the names studied only 61 were currently represented in GenBank. Neotypes are proposed for 21 species, and epitypes are designated for three species. In addition, 20 new species are described and six new combinations made. As a consequence ITS barcodes for 175 Cortinarius species are released.

We clarify the taxonomy and nomenclature of several taxa of the genus Cortinarius subgenus Phlegmacium. To this aim, we have used a combination of morphological and molecular data. The evolutionary relationships of the species were inferred by comparison of the nuITS by means of weighted maximum parsimony, maximum likelihood and two different types of Bayesian methods (with and without a priori alignments). Phylogenetic resolution and support of all or most of the species included in this study and their relationships were possible only when including the phylogenetic signal from ambiguously aligned regions in weighted maximum parsimony analyses (recoded INAASE characters) and when the analysis simultaneously optimized alignment and phylogeny (with BAli-phy). Three species are described as new, Cortinarius mediterraneensis, C. cistoglaucopus and C. palazonianus, and C. olivaecodionysae is proposed for C. dionysae f. olivaceus. Descriptions are provided for these taxonomic and nomenclatural novelties, along with discussions of morphological and phylogenetic affinities to closely related taxa. Scanning microphotographs of the basidiospores are provided for the discussed taxa, and color pictures of the basidiomes in their natural habitat are provided for C. cistoglaucopus, C. mediterraneensis and C. palazonianus.
