Abstract

Specimens of a taxon very similar to Rhinanthus osiliensis (Ronn. et Saars.) Vassilcz. have been found on Gotland. Rhinanthus osiliensis has previously been considered to be endemic to the Baltic island of Saaremaa, Estonia. Their flowering time is identical as well as their habitat requirements. All specimens, both on Saaremaa and on Gotland, have been found in calcareous fens with Schoenus ferrugineus as the dominating species.
