This paper precisely estimates the looming demand for hydrogen within the transportation sector, spanning 14 pivotal G20 nations from 2022 to 2050, anchored in the global vehicle hydrogen market penetration rate. Employing a robust techno-economic modeling methodology and leveraging Geographic Information System (GIS) for enriched visualization, it...

Research on the relationship between rainfall variability and conflicts has yielded contradictory results. This study is the first to show that the significance of the impact of rainfall variability on conflicts depends on the temporal unit of analysis. We prove this point by comparing the statistical significance of the linkages between georeferen...

In developing countries, research found that rural populations express levels of well-being lower than that of urban populations. However, previous investigations do not compare subjective well-being (SWB) between informal urban settlements, also known as slums, and rural areas despite the large migrations occurring between these two areas. The abs...

Developing countries lack subnational data to assess mega-events. Accordingly, an economic proxy is developed to quantify city-level income growth of economies of the South African cities that hosted the 2010 FIFA World Cup by performing a geographically weighted regression between night light data and total city-level income and using it to predic...

Air pollution is a global issue, but data availability has restricted research on its impact on well-being to primarily individual and developed countries. Owing to this lack of data, there is no consensus on the factors influencing the impact of air pollution on well-being across countries. Thus, this paper aims to provide an inclusive view onto t...

The legacy of the inequitable water policy under apartheid continues to impact water services in economically less developed and rural areas in South Africa. Previous studies typically examine this relationship either by using aggregated data at the national level for large-scale research or by using data collected at the provincial or municipal le...

Climate change and natural disasters are the main risks to African agricultural production. Given that these factors affect poor countries more, we attempted to identify the economic taxonomy that can adequately describe the most affected African countries and the countries that can cope with these factors. This study explored the impacts of climat...
Chapter
It is known that developing countries will suffer the most due to the impacts of climate change on agriculture. In the case of Africa, all African countries are classified as developing countries. This raises the following question: will the entire continent experience the impact of climate change? To answer this question, the current chapter revie...

Question
I am trying to run a Geographically Weighted Regression on ArcMap to determine the relationship between some land use on water quality in several polygons.
But I have two issues:
1) I would like the regression to take give more weight in the regressions for areas being in the same watershed.
2)I would like the regression not to be based on an euclidean distance estimation but on the rivers connectivity
Does anyone can help?
