Introduction
I am currently working in a multi-disciplinary lab that mainly focuses on the cutting-edge scientific issues of microbial treatment of environmental pollution, focusing on the key scientific issues of stimulating and regulating the functional activity of microorganisms, and in-depth study of new mechanisms and technologies for the degradation of toxic pollutants by microorganisms.

Sustainable and effective extraction techniques are becoming more important as the demand for natural bioactive chemicals rises worldwide. The primary focus of our work is the extraction of essential bioactive chemicals from agricultural waste materials using a novel and environmentally sustainable microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) technique. In...

S-triazines are a group of herbicides that are extensively applied to control broadleaf weeds and grasses in agricultural production. They are mainly taken up through plant roots and are transformed by xylem tissues throughout the plant system. They are highly persistent and have a long half-life in the environment. Due to imprudent use, their toxi...

Phytoremediation is the application of plant–microbe interactions for the bioremediation of toxic chemicals present in the environment. The application of phytoremediation has emerged as a prospective tool in the last three decades. Plants can be applied for the volatilization, degradation, extraction, and solubilization of pollutants. Plants and t...

Synthetic pesticides are extensively and injudiciously applied to control agriculture and household pests worldwide. Due to their high use, their toxic residues have enormously increased in the agroecosystem in the past several years. They have caused many severe threats to non-target organisms, including humans. Therefore, the complete removal of...

Microbes are an inexhaustible source of enzymes having biocatalytic potential. The huge diversity of microbial enzymes makes them essential for application in different industries such as textiles, agriculture, chemical, food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, leather, and paper and pulp. Enzymes reduce environmental pollution utilizing strategies inc...
Chapter
The imprudent use of xenobiotics to control pest infestation for the high yield of crops causes dangerous impacts on diverse living organisms in their respective environment. The toxic residues of these highly hazardous compounds have created a route into the underground water system and polluted drinking water. Hence, extensive use of pesticides c...

Insect pests cause significant agricultural and economic losses to crops worldwide due to their destructive activities. Pesticides are designed to be poisonous and are intentionally released into the environment to combat the menace caused by these noxious pests. To survive, these insects can resist toxic substances introduced by humans in the form...

The imprudent use of agrochemicals to control agriculture and household pests is unsafe for the environment. Hence, to protect the environment and diversity of living organisms, the degradation of pesticides has received widespread attention. There are different physical, chemical, and biological methods used to remediate pesticides in contaminated...

Neonicotinoids are synthetic pesticides widely used for the control of various pests in agriculture throughout the world. They mainly attack the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, generate nervous stimulation, receptor clot, paralysis and finally cause death. They are low volatile, highly soluble and have a long half-life in soil and water. Due to...

The proper synthesis and functioning of ecdysteroids and juvenile hormones (JHs) are very important for the regulation of vitellogenesis and oogenesis. However, their role and function contrast among different orders, and even in the same insect order. For example, the JH is the main hormone that regulates vitellogenesis in hemimetabolous insect or...
