Introduction
Dr. Omer Faruk Ugurlu has 10 years of experience in mining engineering research and teaching in Canada and Turkey. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Department of Mining and Materials Engineering at McGill University in 2019. His research focuses on statistics, machine learning, deep learning, underground mining, paste-fill system design, surface mining, mine systems optimization, equipment reliability, mine risk analysis, and occupational health and safety in mines.
