Introduction
Olfa Kanoun studied electrical engineering and information technology at the TU Munich. During her PhD at the University of the Bundeswehr in Munich she developed a novel calibration free temperature measurement method and was awarded in 2001 by the AHMT e. V. Since 2007 she is professor for measurement and sensor technology at TU Chemnitz. Her research is focused on measurement methods, sensors and sensor systems. She is distinguished lecturer of the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society
