In many industries, calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and titanium dioxide (TiO2) are popular fillers and pigments. However, its application in a nonpolar medium is limited due to its surface characteristics in pristine conditions. This study focuses on modifying CaCO3 and TiO2 nanoparticles using oleic and stearic acid. Several characterizations were perf...

In the present study, the impact of CaSiO3 addition on microstructure and electrical characteristics of a ZnO-based varistor system was investigated. The ceramic materials were prepared by solid-state reaction route by varying the CaSiO3 concentrations (0, 3, 6, 9, 12, and 15 wt%) and sintered at 1300 °C. Characterization of the pelletized samples...

Question
hi everyone. i am having a hard time in finding research paper and examples on using both micro and nanoparticles materials in one coating formulation. is it ok to directly add the nanoparticles or is there any suitable treatment techniques i can learn? is there any difference between surface modification of nanoparticles and treating the nanoparticles ? as i am quite confuse with this two terms. thank u
Question
Hello.
I am trying to formulate a waterborne coating for marine purpose. The problem is, i could not find a suitable binder such as resin/acrylic paint for this project. Some of commercialize binder already pigmented. Where can i find pure acrylic/resin that suitable for waterborne coating.?
Thank you
