Question
I'm thinking of how to increase biomass to replace plastic and industrial waste.
Question
In general species name is given to different stages with different names. It is been modified by merging the sexual and asexual names into "one name for one fungus" similarly in other kingdoms as well. Still, due to bulk speciose genera were adding new species with subspecies and variations.
Question
I have performed the Ammonium sulfate precipitation both 50% and 90%.
The 90% saturation gives two non-dimeric proteins.
Is it definitely go through the Precipitation, SDS-PAGE, Ion-exchange, and Gelfiltrtion chromatography?
Which state is ready to sequence?
1. If I get SDS-PAGE two bands (Dimeric or Non-dimeric protein)
2. Is it needed to every 10% saturation from 10 to 100% to find SDS PAGE single band
Welcome focused answers?
Regards,
Niranjan
Question
I have been working on a multigene phylogeny, in which 190 ITS sequences and the rest of the genes such as LSU, SSU, B-tubulin, TEF, and RPB2 have less than above. When I made successful all the errors till .phyl format. I cant able get the bipartitions results. What are the possible errors that could happen?
Question
The largest speciose (More than 1000) genera which have a lot of gene sequences, it is very difficult to handle therefore I would like to know to form the experts to share their inputs to make World revisions based on Morphology or Molecular phylogeny. What steps for initiation, elongation, and soulful termination.
Question
In General, fungal phylogeny is constructed either by a single gene or multigene, There were many articles showing random order of genes such as ITS, LSU, SSU, RPB2, TEF, and β-Tubulin ect. It depends,
Number of sequences/gene?
Length of sequence (Raw or trimmed)?
The order of genes in the fungal DNA?
Does the order depend on the type of family we deal?
What is the possible order of genes?
Question
I have prepared a fungal enzyme extract in Citrate phosphate buffer pH 5. The sample was also frozen in -20 one night and was used in Christ Alpha 1-2 LD plus. After 5 hours find the sample is dried but when it was taken out the sheat forms become liquid. What would be the average time to get a complite solution to lyophilize.
Question
I am trying to prepare guaiacol solution by 0.01% liquid Guaiacol dissolved in 100 ml of Citrate phosphate buffer.
Question
In the Solid state fermentation, We use the Citrate Phosphate buffer 100mM, PH 5, will it be necessary to use the same buffer for the enzyme assay? or if change the different buffer like 100mM sodium acetate buffer PH 5 will it impact a change in abosorbance?
Question
Most of the literature covered the partial key to different families in the order Polyporales, I request the mycobuddies who can share.
Question
I am budding understanding of the Diversity of Basidiomycota, I could not find a Phylum level key, I am must grateful if someone has it. kindly drop a mail neeru436@gmail.com.
Question
Recently I had gone through the notes for Ascomycota provided an accepted number of species but if i found the number of species in Indexfungorum (IF) and Mycobank (MB) is vary. There were many species synonymized into various closely related genera highlighted in IF.
