Abstract1 Background and objectives: Roads induce some of the most pervasive anthropogenic alterations in watershed and source o run off. In mountain area road network despite lower surface to the total surface has an impact the watershed hydrology. The aim of the current research is the comparison of Chehel-chay Watershed roads with rural road sta...

Identifying the relationship between forest roads and wildfires in forest ecosystems is a crucial priority to integrate suppression and prevention within wildfire management. In various investigations, the interaction of these elements has been studied by using road density as one of the anthropogenic dependent variables. This study focused on the...

Abstract: The study mainly aims at looking into the disparities in beneficiary’s socio-economic status between the areas without implementation of forestry plans and the areas where forestry plans had initially been available even though they have recently been terminated as well. Babol Roud forestry plan is located in Lafoor forest area in the Bab...

In this study, spatio-temporal forest canopy cover density changes in the Golestan National Park (Iran) were assessed from 1967 to 2016 using aerial photos and satellite images in a Geographical Information Systems environment. The digital aerial orthophoto mosaics were created after georeferencing photos of the years 1967 and 1994. A special canop...

Abstract Introduction and Objective: Estimating the amount of wood produced in poplar plantations is not possible without determining the area of poplar plants. Estimating the amount of wood produced is very important for the production management of wood industry units. Industry owners need to know how much poplar wood can be extracted in the comi...

Abstract Zagros forests are considered as protective forests of the country and have many environmental functions. The area of these forests has been declining in recent decades and there is a high rate of degradation in this area. On the other hand, the climate of this vegetation area is semi-arid and it is necessary to store more rainfall. To reg...

Abstract* Background and Objectives: Nowadays, study about the reclamation of abandoned skid trails is necessary due to their frequency in forestry units of north of Iran especially in so-called respiration period. These skid trails turn to be bare after the primary transportation (especially within first transportation years) where resulted in ero...

Non-implementing of forestry plans across Hyrcanian region in Iran has been one of the one of the important major decisions of forest management sector in recent years. This study was carried out to investigate implementing or non-implementing of forestry plan in the Babol Roud, Mazandaran province. Furthermore, Cochran's relationship was used to d...

Due to the logistical challenges of large-scale rainfall simulator, most studies to date have used small scale rainfall simulator with a nozzle height of less than 3 m and a plot area of less than 5 m 2. Performing such small-scale studies is valuable for investigating the rate of soil erodibility, soil infiltration, the impact of herbaceous and sh...

Forest Roads are the main element of recovering, conserving and harvesting of natural resources. The current research has down in order to spatial locating qualitative characteristics of road pavement and schedule conservation and maintenance projects in main road, 1, 2, 3 roads in ShastKalateh Forestry plan, Gorgan, Iran. First all of the roads we...

Abstract Skidding logs from stump to depot areas is the most important part of ground-based logging operations, which often leads to an increase in soil bulk density and decrease in soil porosity. In this study, woody slash and sawdust treatments with a weight of 10 kg m-2 were used to decrease soil compaction on skid trails during the trips of rub...
