Introduction
Laura Van Gerven graduated as a medical doctor in 2009 and as an otorhinolaryngologist in 2017 at the KU Leuven. In 2014, she obtained a doctoral degree in biomedical sciences (KU Leuven) with a thesis on the pathophysiology of non-allergic rhinitis. She completed a Fellowship in endoscopic sinus surgery and anterior skull base surgery at the University Hospital of Barcelona, Spain. Since October 2017, she has been a staff member within the ENT-department at the University Hospitals of Leuven, Belgium. Her specialty is rhinology, endoscopic sinus surgery and anterior skull base surgery. Her current research is mainly focused on the different endotypes of rhinitis and rhinosinusitis.
