Introduction
João M L Moreira is a faculty member of the interdisciplinary graduate program in energy (PhD and Master) at the Universidade Federal do ABC (UFABC), and consultant in nuclear power. From 2007 to 2019 he was full professor in energy at UFABC, and from 1984 to 2006 he worked in the Brazilian nuclear submarine program. His main interests include nuclear power, micro reactors, use of Th in PWRs, decommissioning, energy planning and sustainability of the energy sector.
