Introduction
Dr Jie Wang is a research fellow at the Department of Educational Economics and Administration, South China Normal University (Guangzhou). He studied Sociology at Nanjing University for a bachelor’s and a master’s degree, following which he studied for a PhD at the Social Policy Research Centre, University of New South Wales (Sydney). Before taking the current position, he was a research associate at the School of Government, Sun Yat-sen University (Guangzhou).
