Dr. Dimitrios K. Filippou studied medicine in Athens University Medical School and then surgery in Greece and in Switzerland. He was appointed as Chief of the Department of Laparoscopic Surgery, Surgical Oncology in Neo-Athinaio MD Hospital in Athens in 2014 and in 2019 elected as Ass. Professor of Anatomy in Athens Medical School. In his doctoral thesis studied the oxidants and antioxidant status and alterations in burned patients. His educational experience in pre- and postgraduate level includes teaching and laboratory exercises in various educational objects including anatomy, physiology, etc He owns more than 100 papers in International Journal and he has written, translated or contributed in more than 30 medical book
