Background Post-stroke gait deviations contribute to significant functional disability, impaired walking ability and poor quality of life. Prior studies suggest that gait training with paretic lower limb loading may improve gait parameters and walking ability in post-stroke. However, most gait training methods used in these studies are not readily...

Abstract Background Diabetes mellitus is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality globally. Although synthetic hypoglycemic agents are commonly used to manage this disorder, such medications, besides being unable to cure the disease, are expensive and associated with side effects. Conversely, medicinal plants have emerged as effective,...

Question
How do I perform Turkey post-hoc test (for multiple comparisons) using linear mixed effect model with random (subjects) and fixed effects (3 interventions [groups], 3 repeated measures [time]) in SPSS?
SPSS has options for LSD, Bonferonni and Sidak only
Question
How do I calculate the effect size after running linear mixed-effects model (run SPSS) for within and between three groups comparison?
Question
I have used linear mixed effects models to assess the impact of three different treatments on pain intensity measured on 11 numerical rating scale over three periods (baseline, post-treatment and 3 months follow-up). I initially used mixed model Anova but because I have some missing values in the 2nd and 3rd measurements, I decided to conduct a secondary analysis with LMM to account for those missing values. The main effect (groups) comparing the treatment methods was significant with LMM but I'm confused about how to calculate the effect size. Please, i need your help in this regard. Thank you.
Question
I want to estimate the median and corresponding 95%CI for a particular dependent variable that is not normally distributed. I used both Ratio statistics and Bootstrapping method in SPSS but the values are slightly different. Any idea on which method I should stick to?
