What is the best platform to create a wireless connection between sensor nodes to the base station?

I am currently doing a project based on an temperature sensor data collection from the network node wireless(WSN). I am planning to use LoRa Technology in order to achieve long distance communication with high level of security. Please share your opinion about my idea or do you have any other platform that is more convenient to be applied? Expecting to receive the information in the range of 1-2km.

Hello
it depends on the type of application for WSN, if it is in building or house yoy can use Zigbee protocol ( Xbee modules) in case you will use WSN on body Bluetooth can be used as Tx/RX, in case you use WSn in agriculture, industry or smart city then you might use RF434 Mhz or WIFI .

Hi;
In fact wireless connections are growing with telecommunication from;BLE, WIFI, zigbee,NRF,NFC,wi-Max, GSM, IR , RF-432 and so on;
So it depends on teh application does it need long distance transfert data, low energy.

Dear Shathya,
I think your choice is suitable for your application, which is data collection from sensors. LORA uses unlicensed frequency bands. I would propose to save more power, you may be better work in the VHF frequency range of the sub gigahertz technology of LORA.
Best wishes

To increase a wireless sensor network's lifetime, energy-efficient strategies are proposed by researchers from time to time. Most of these are developed under the assumption that the energy requirement during data collection is much less than that during com munication. However, for many practical application scenarios, this assumption does not hol...
