What are the most commonly used data sets for nurse scheduling problems?
I will be doing my special problem as a requirement for graduation. I will be applying a certain algorithm to the nurse scheduling problem, and I want to test its results using the datasets, then compare those results to the results of the algorithms which were previously applied to the Nurse Scheduling Problem.
Any help would be very appreciated.

The place I would start when it comes to my data (if you are looking to implement the algorithm and test its implementation) if I were doing this is look at cases that throw wrenches in the devising of approximation algorithms or program formulations (in this case, Integer Program formulation) for this problem. Since this problem is a NP-hard scheduling/assignment problem, look at its relationship to other assignment problems that are NP-hard---one that comes to mind is 0-1 Knapsack, which this link below uses to devise an exact algorithm.
I think this article does a pretty good job of explaining what has been done on this problem (up to 2009ish): http://www.cardiff.ac.uk/maths/resources/grasp_nurse.pdf
In this paper (page 18) they give some discussion about data sets that could help you. The reference 'Dowsland, K. A. and J. M. Thompson (2000). “Solving a nurse-scheduling problem with knapsacks, networks and tabu search,” J. Oper. Res. Soc. 51, 825-833. ' may be helpful as well (it's the one they cite within the area in question)
Hope this helps!
