TiO2 breakdown voltage

When we are measuring the TiO2 sample which is prepared by the dip coating process. Before getiing the IV loop repetation, the breakdown occurs with a volatge 1-1.5 V. The sample thickness is around 70-80 nm. I dont find out the specific problem. And what is the normal breakdown voltage for TiO2?

In the first, the authors report a breakdown voltage of 2.7 MV/cm for synthesised TiO2 thin films.
In the second, the authors use a dip-coating method and report a value of 21 MV/m.
