I am sorry as I'm answering a bit differently. Though I cannot say say how you can combine SA with NN, but you can combine GA with SA. I am saying this as you have already worked on GA. Pl find these:

In classical ANN, during the backpropagation training stage of a FFN, the gradient descent is normally used to calculate the weights of the connections. However, the optimal weights could be determined using other methods such as GA (as you have done) or SA. Both methods GA and SA may suffer from local minima so the impact may not be significant.

Suppose I have 500 samples defined with 3 parameters. I created a 10 X 10 SOM using matlab neural network toolbox. Now, I want to know the value of the three parameters corresponding to the winning neurons in my trained map to get an idea of what values are more probable than others.

Neural networks are an interesting implementation of a network model that propagates information from node to node. We learned that the sigmoid function is often used by the hidden layer. What properties of this function make it a good candidate for this type of model? What other functions might be good candidates?

I need to understand exactly in RBF neural network in training phase the RBF centers will determine using k-means clustering. The RBF widths are usually all fixed to the same value which is proportional to the maximum distance between the chosen centers. the question is which center the center of each cluster that adapted by k-means clustering or the neuron center?
