Dear Ran Bahadur,
1.During carbonization plastic layer moves from walls towards centre of oven.Damaged brick work may stick to coke leading to higher pushing amperage
2.Improper coking (green coke) and pushing of such coke from oven may result stickering.
3.Improper ceiling of oven leading to air ingress and subsequently ash fusion
4.Low shirinkage behavour of coal/coal blend charged in oven
Hope this may help you,
With regards

Dear, Ran
If there are no problems with oven brickwork, then this pressure coking!
Coal generates pressure during coking and this pressure isn't compensated by the shrinkage batch.

It is possible the slag formed during the coking process has a low melting temperature which causes the sticking phenomenon that your mentioned. Try to perform a chemical analysis of the slag material. Higher amperage is one manifestation of the sticking of the coal.
Hope this helps answer your question.

Dear Ran,
Among other factors to be considered, coal develops some internal gas pressure/wall pressure during carbonization in slot-like ovens. A moderate pressure inside the oven is necessary for the development of coke structure and coke properties such as mechanical strength. However, when the coking pressure is excessive, the coke oven walls may be damaged and operational difficulties during coke pushing can arise.
Hope that this comment answer your question.

Dear Professor Yehia Khalil,
Coking process is without access to air.
Consequently the slag formed should not occur during the coking process.
If air will flow into the oven, the organic part of the coal is combusted.
