How unstable magnetic field effected electrolysis process?

I have UV-Vis DRS data, but I am confused to convert this data to absorbance to plot Absorbance versus Wavelength. Is anyone who can help me, please?

I am currently trying to overlay a bunch of S 2p spectra and the doublet peaks due to spin orbit splitting is very annoying in a stacked figure. Normally if it's just one spectrum, I would definitely fit the doublets by their supposed peak area ratios and label them properly. But for a stack figure, I feel it makes it very confusing and too many peaks.

So I was thinking if it's acceptable for peer-review journal publication purposes, to only choose one of the doublet peaks CONSISTENTLY (either 2p 1/2 or 2p 3/2) and only plot that one. I believe I have seen some groups do this in published Li-S battery papers.

How many grams of K2Cr2O7 to dissolve it in 1 liter Distilled water to obtain 50 ppm of Chromium? to become aqueous solution, Is there a specific equation to apply? Thanks

I have obtained a Peak in XRD that's 10 degrees before the start of the peaks in the ICDD so I want to know is it acceptable? and what could cause this as other shifts are nearly Identical

[294.1846 /(2*51.9961)]*(98/100) = 2.772 gm in 1 litre gives 1000ppm of chromium.

is it correct?

I am working with nano-cellulose and aramid thin films and people are measuring the UV absorbance of thin films using ultraviolet (UV)–Vis-near infra- red light spectrophotometer. Are these instrument same as the ones used for finding UV absorbance of solutions? Is there any separate procedure to measure for films?

Here I have an interesting question that comes to me about crystallographic planes and growth rate. The literature survey shows, the (100)-oriented crystals the crystallographic plane (100) has higher growth rate as compare to other planes such as (110), (111). Generally speaking, a possible reason is, the crystallographic plane (100) has lower planer density (Number of atoms accumulated per unit area) compare to other planes. This is reasonable as it accumulates lesser number of atoms per unit area. Now the question is, the (100)-oriented unit cell contains all the planes (111), (110), (100) etc. then how one can say (that is extensively stated in literature) that (100) planes has higher growth rate compare to others? If (100) planes are growing, likewise the other planes are also showing growth, to make a complete unit cell, so how can we assume that this planes (100) has higher growth rate?

Hope you all are doing very well. I am doing Anti reflection coating for lens and Prisma. I need to calculate absorption from Reflection and Transmission as I can directly calculate with Perkin Elmer spectrophotometer. Theoritically what I understood is following

(100-Transmission-Reflection)/100 and R+Transmission+ Absorption=1 but in my case when I calculate 100-%T-%R)/100 its around 97% and I could not identify what happend to rest 3%
