Does anybody know where I could buy Anabaena and Nostoc, ideally South American cepae?

It has been difficult to find, isolate and purify them.

I want to culture rice field cyanobacteria (filamentous) in tank,as i need large amount of dry biomass of the organism. what type of nutritional supplement should i use. in lab it is growing in BG 11 (-N) medium. but what is the steps for faster growing of cyanobacteria, ( Nostoc, Anabaena, aulosira, haplosiphon, westiliopsis,calothrix, etc.)

I have tried gel-based experiments like, smearing of DNA on 0.8% AGE, and RAPD for DNA damage analysis in treatment against control. But for better understanding, I was thinking to perform in vivo analysis of DNA damage in Anabaena sp. PCC 7120 (Filamentous cyanobacteria). Please suggest me some of the good techniques to perform the same.

I want to culture few cyanobacteria like Anabaena, Nostoc calothrix etc, in large scale for getting biomass.
Can anyone tell me the suitable media for this culture? BG11 media not giving so much biomass. I am culturing in Glass tank of 36"*36"*26"

I currently work in antimicrobial active compounds of freshwater and soil cyanobacteria. Different species of cyanobacteria were isolated and prepared cultures. These cultures were morphological identified. But some problem arises in Molecular identification due to some contamination. Anyone know the specific primers for above cyanobacteria species.
