Could the exhaust gas temperature of a recuperated gas turbine be higher than that of the simple cycle gas turbine of the same core?

If yes, why?

yes, sometimes,
because in combined cycles the output temperature is needed to be regulate and be constant as it supplies the required heat for a HRSG boiler (for example for SGT-2000E or V94.2, the output temperature should be regulated around 520 oC).
At any conditions in which the ambient temperature is reduced, the control system compensates and increases the output temperature by closing the IGV. however, in simple cycles, it is not necessary an therefore the output temperature is a little lower than CC s.
