Complications Vs Morbidity - How to differentiate?
The terms 'complications' and 'morbidity' are found to be used interchangeably in different documents. Is theere any difference between these terms with reference to clinical evaluation of medical devices?

Morbidity can be used interchangeably with the terms illness or disease, so in some contexts the illness could be a complication.
However, morbidity can also refer to a statistic of health status. So in some contexts it may refer to how many patients out of a certain susceptible population have a certain illness (aka prevalence) OR how many patients out of a certain susceptible population experience the illness in a given time frame (aka incidence).

A complication is a problem that comes with the treatment or as a result of intervention, whereas morbidity is like an unhealthy or diseased condition, doesn't necessarily result of an intervention.
