Complications Vs Morbidity - How to differentiate?

I kindly request assistance in converting concentrations from µg/ml to µM.

While calculating the concentrations to evaluate compounds that may inhibit cathepsin S (the enzyme of interest) and assess their cytotoxicity using the MTT assay, I used units in "µg/ml." Now, I intend to convert them to µM, as most previous studies have utilized this unit.

The compounds in question are chlorogenic acid, quercetin, and procyanidin. According to the literature, the conversion is given by the formula: µM = µg/ml ÷ molecular weight (kD).

Regarding the conversion of g/mol to kD, we said 1 kD (kiloDalton) is equivalent to 1,000 g/mol.

For chlorogenic acid, with a molecular weight of 354.31 g/mol. Is it correct to say 10 µg/ml is equivalent to 28.22 µM?

This comes from this calculation.

µM = µg/ml ÷ (molecular weight in g/mol ÷ 1,000)

= 10 µg/ml ÷ (354.31 g/mol ÷ 1,000)

= 28.22 µM

Hi everyone,

I added 3 separate modifications to the eGFP mRNA to see how they would affect protein yield. (e.g. modif.1, modif.2 and modif.3, n=3 replicates per modificaiton). I looked at eGFP expression at 24, 48, 72, 96, 168 hours. What statistical test shall I use to compare median fluorescence intensities of the 3 modifications at one timepoint, e.g. Modif.1 (24h) vs modif.2 (24h), not like modif.1 (24h) vs modif.2(96h) eGFP expression?

Can't seem to find that test in GraphPad prism. Any suggestions? Thanks,

I have a stock concentration of drug that is 100ug/mL.

I need to make up media (500mL) so that it contains 0.33ug/mL, so how do I work out how much of the stock drug to add?

I normally work in mM and uM so using ug/mL is really throwing me off!

I bought a pack of agar plates and stored them in the refrigerator for 2 months. I forgot about them and learned that today is the expiration date. How can I dispose them properly at home? Can I simply throw them into a plastic bag? I also want to know if I can still use them even it's past their expiration date.

My collaborator has inserted citations using Mendeley. However, I use Endnote and I have the same library in the endnote.

While working on the same document, endnote citations do not synchronize with the citations made from Mendeley earlier.

Researchers are requested to share their experiences and plausible solution(s).

I want to do the permeability assay for the Caco-2 cells on the transwell-like structure.

I have several questions:

(1) What is the general concentration for the test?

(2) How to make the stocking solution and how is the store conditions? The FITC-dextran is easily dissolved into PBS, could I dissolve them, and prepare 1mg/ml stocking solution, store at -25℃.

(3) For calibration under spectrometer, what are general concentrations?

I hope someone who has done the permeability assay, could give me some suggestions.
