Add a 3rd Dimension to Your Immunoassay

16th Jan, 2024
ELISA is considered the gold standard immunoassay for quantitative protein analysis despite limitations stemming from the lack of size-based protein separation. As a capillary electrophoresis immunoassay platform, Simple Western™ provides sensitive, accurate, and reproducible quantitative immunoassay read-outs with the addition of several critical advantages provided by adding the dimension of molecular weight enabled by electrophoretic protein separation. While ELISA can only measure antibody binding as you vary experimental conditions (i.e., 2-dimensional), Simple Western measures antibody binding activity and provides molecular weight size information as you vary experimental conditions, adding a 3rd dimension to your immunoassay.

eBook: CURRENT AND EMERGING IMMUNE CHECKPOINT TARGETS FOR IMMUNO-ONCOLOGY RESEARCH

Tumor cells frequently exploit the activities of immune checkpoint molecules by overexpressing ligands that activate inhibitory immune checkpoint receptors, which allows them to evade destruction by the host’s immune system. As a result, researchers have focused on targeting immune checkpoint molecules for cancer immunotherapy using either agonists of immune stimulatory receptors or antagonists of immune inhibitory receptors.
This eBook presents some current and emerging immune checkpoint molecules being investigated as potential targets for cancer immunotherapy. Some of the products we offer for studying these molecules are also presented.

App Note: Expand your Capabilities for Spatial RNA Profiling

Interrogation of gene expression in complex, highly heterogeneous tissue, such as the brain, is an ongoing challenge due to the multiple cell types and states that comprise these tissues.
Single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) is currently one of the most insightful tools to understand complex tissue structure and function. However, the dissociation of cells during the method results in loss of important information about the spatial organisation of cells within tissue.
The RNAscope technology is a highly specific, sensitive, and multiplexed RNA in situ hybridization methodology that allows researchers to address these contextual challenges through spatial mapping of RNA targets with single cell resolution. Through the interrogation of tissue samples with sequence-specific probes users can:
Visualize the cellular heterogeneity of complex organs with multiplexing and spatial capabilities
Spatially map and confirm scRNA-seq gene profiles at the single cell level in the tissue context
Localize newly identified cell subtypes and cell markers
Explore how the multiplex capabilities of the RNAscope assays can be applied to your neuroscience research and scRNA-seq workflows with our new Application Note – “The RNAscope multiplex in situ hybridization technology enables the incorporation of spatial mapping and confirmation of gene signatures into single cell RNA sequencing workflows”

Application Note: Spatial Profiling of microRNAs and Other Small RNA Targets

The current most used tools for miRNA detection rely on methods such as RNA-Seq and qPCR, which do not provide a spatial context for miRNA expression. Whilst in situhybridization (ISH)-based miRNA detection methods with spatial resolution do exist, they often have low sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratios and require extensive optimization for each sample type and probe.
This application note introduces miRNAscope™ – the highly sensitive and specific in situ hybridization assay for detection and visualization of microRNAs, siRNAs, and antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs).
