... presence of a congenital, ipsilateral infiltrating lipomatosis of the face is reported as quite frequently associated with HME ( Aydingoz et al. 2002;Donati et al. 1990;Slavin and Baker 1983;Unal et al. 2000). The facial lipomatosis is due to fat tissue infiltrating the cheek and the adjacent structures (Fig. 3). It causes facial asymmetry with skeletal hypertrophy, macrodontia, and premature dental eruption. Moreover, it can be linked with scalp or ipsilateral intracranial lipoma.
