The taxonomy of Sistotremastrum (Trechisporales, Basidiomycota) is revised based on morphology and DNA data. The genus is shown to be polyphyletic, and therefore it is split into two units – Sistotremastrum s. str. and Sertulicium, gen. nov. (typified with Corticium niveocremeum). Sistotremastrum s. str. is retained for eleven species of which eigh...

The problem in this study is that the selection of avocado cultivation land still uses the method and does not use a computer-based system to choose avocado cultivation priorities. Because it has not used a computer-based system to choose land priorities, the purpose of this study is to build a system by implementing a decision support system for selecting avocado cultivation land using the Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS) method. The criteria parameters used to choose alternative avocado cultivation land consist of temperature, rainfall, dry month length, soil texture, and drainage. The use of these 5 criteria can choose the priority of avocado cultivation land. The results of the application of the system, that of the 7 alternative lands are in the top priority with rank 1, namely Tanah Grogot land with a Ki value of 0.895 based on the analysis of the calculation of the Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS) method. From these results, the implementation of a decision support system using the Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS) method can be used as the best solution for selecting priority areas for avocado cultivation.

... For example, the clade of Leveillula was included as an inner group for Phyllactinia spp. and Pleochaeta formed a clade with Queirozia (Meeboon, Kokaew, & Takamatsu, 2018;Takamatsu et al., 2016). The phylogenetic relationships among the genera of Phyllactinieae published to date have been associated with low statistical support or were estimated from somewhat biased taxon sampling. ...
... In addition, the phylogenetic tree using the LSU sequences showed that Podosphaera spp., other than Podosphaera persaeamericanae, Cystotheca, and Sawadaea, each formed a monophyletic group and generally supported the genus classification in Cystotheceae (Fig. 7). Similar to the result of (Siahaan, Hidayat, Kramadibrata, Meeboon, & Takamatsu, 2016), Podosphaera persaeamericanae was located in the outermost position of the Cystotheceae clade, independent from other Podosphaera spp. In the original description, the affiliation of this species with Podosphaera has been regarded as a temporary treatment ( (Siahaan, Hidayat, Kramadibrata, Meeboon, & Takamatsu, 2016)), and further discussion is necessary regarding its genus classification including that of Takamatsuella. ...

This study confirmed that the Parauncinula lineage diverged early in Erysiphaceae, consistent with the result of a previous study (Figs. 1, 6;(Mori, Sato, & Takamatsu, 2000)) and confirmed that this genus is a notable group to discuss the early evolution of Erysiphaceae. ...

The classification system and evolutionary history of Erysiphaceae have been studied based on the results of molecular phylogenetic analyses. However, the sequence data used for these phylogenetic estimations have been limited to the nrDNA of ca., 50 taxa, and the relationships among higher taxonomic groups are not well understood. To provide a phylogenetic overview of Erysiphaceae, we performed phylogenetic estimations based on nrDNA and MCM7 sequences obtained from ca., 270 taxa. The phylogenetic tree showed a similar topology to the trees obtained in previous studies, although the branching order between Golovinomyceteae and Phyllactinieae was different and Phyllactinieae was not monophyletic. Phyllactinieae and Erysipheae were estimated to diversify after the divergence of Golovinomyceteae, suggesting an evolutionary trend in which non-catenate conidia + endoparasitic or non-catenate conidia + ectoparasitic lineages were derived from catenate conidia + ectoparasitic lineages. Phyllactinieae was divided into a clade of Phyllactinia + Leveillula and other clade(s) consisting of Pleochaeta and Queirozia. The phylogenetic hypothesis of Erysiphaceae was updated based on the largest dataset to date, but the higher-level phylogenetic relationships remain unclear. For a more robust phylogenetic hypothesis of Erysiphaceae, further sequence data, including protein coding regions, should be added to the dataset of nrDNA sequences.

Powdery mildews are important obligate biotrophic ectoparasites that cause severe damage to various plant species in Southeast Asia. So far, 14 genera and 96 species of powdery mildew have been reported in Southeast Asia, with Thailand having the most number of recorded species. Of the 14 genera reported, Oidium sp. had the most recorded host, including several important species of vegetables, fruits, vines, herbs, field crops, ornamentals, and tree species. This paper briefly reviews the knowledge of powdery mildew disease in Southeast Asia, focusing on the pathogens' host range, impact, and some sources of resistance to powdery mildew.
