architecture of data warehousing SQL Server 2008 is used to develop the police intelligence system because it covers not only relational database management service, but also integrated service, analysis service and reporting service. Among them, integration service can help us to integrate data from different heterogeneous data sources, namely providing function of data extraction, transformation and load; analysis services provide us with function of OLAP and data mining which can help us to analyze the current situation and predict the future trend; reporting services provide us with various forms of data report and graphical display of the analysis result.

Aiming at the large amounts of data collected by the public security organs, the technologies of data warehouse and OLAP are used to realize the police intelligence decision system based on SQL Server 2008 platform. The multidimensional analysis results reveal some potential regularity between criminal's action and the cases, so as to help the poli...

In the government area, the data warehouse in China's police intelligence decision system helps the policeman to explore the dynamic crime trends and characteristics from the integrated heterogeneous data sources. It is to help them making the correct judgments (Shen, Liu, Chen, & Wang, 2012). Otherwise, the modelling of data warehouse on food distribution center and reserves in the ministry of agriculture of Indonesia can facilitate monitoring food price in consumers and producers. ...

The goals of the research is to develop a data warehouse loaded from operational database of payment point service in IT business solution provider. The development scope is data analysis using Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) tools for identifying the trends of transaction and agent registration, and create reports and dashboards. The data warehouse was developed with Kimball method as known as the nine-step design methodology. The data and requirement were collected by observation and interview with Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The data warehouse was analyzed by OLAP tool provided by Pentaho Business Analytics software with additional plugin Pivot4J. The obtained results are the trends of transaction and agent registration between 2014 and 2015. It can be concluded that developed data warehouse can be used as ananalysis tool to know the trends information.

The main purpose of conducting this research is to investigate empirically the role and importance of data warehouse (DW) in enhancing the effectiveness of decision-making. It is believed and assumed that meaningful and significant information can be acquired from DW which provides valuable knowledge to support business process and decision-making. A mail questionnaire survey was regarded as the appropriate method for gathering data. The questionnaire was developed based on the findings from related literature and other related research questionnaires. All the firms (277), which were listed on Amman Stock Exchange (ASE), at the time of data collection, were selected. The researchers arrived at scores of significant and remarkable results regarding DW and its role in enhancing the process of decision-making. The survey’s findings showed that the percentage of implementing DW in the Jordanian firms involved is 35 %. In general, the respondents had a positive attitude towards the implementation of DW.

The main objective of conducting this research is to investigate empirically the role of data warehouse (DW) in enhancing decision-making or, more precisely, the researchers surveyed the top management of Jordanian firms regarding the role and importance of DW in improving the effectiveness of decision-making. All the firms (277), which were listed on Amman Stock Exchange (ASE), at the time of data collection, were selected over half answered positively. The researchers arrived at scores of significant and remarkable results regarding DW and its role in enhancing the process of decision-making. The survey's findings showed that the percentage of implementing DW in the Jordanian firms involved is 35%. In general, the respondents had a positive attitude towards the implementation of DW.
