Background: Cognitive frailty (CF) is identified as one of the main precursors of dementia. Multidomain intervention has been found to delay or prevent the onset of CF. Objective: The aim of our present study is to determine the effectiveness of a comprehensive, multidomain intervention on CF; to evaluate its cost effectiveness and the factors i...

The present study aims to evaluate the advantages of a master-slave robotic rehabilitation therapy in which the patient is assisted in real-time by a therapist. We have also explored if this type of strategy is applicable in a tele-rehabilitation environment. A pilot study has been carried out involving 10 patients who have performed a point-to-poi...

... This paper shows the technical specification of the rehabilitation system (TELEKIN) under development by our research group. There are other virtual reality systems that use Microsoft Kinect Sensor such as KiRes (Antón D., 2013) and EPIK (Garrote, et al., 2015), developed by our research group, among others. Other researchers (Muñoz J., 2013) (Pirovano M., 2012) also use Kinect based systems in the physical rehabilitation area. ...

Compressive stockings are mainly produced in order to improve the lives of people with venous diseases and circulatory problems, contributing to the prevention of motor deficiencies. The present study refers to the way in which the design, as an interdisciplinary research field, with assistive technologies, can contribute to improve the quality of products and, consequently, their usability. Through an exploratory research this work aim to conceptualize and characterize compressive stockings. The investigation highlights the need for investment in research that contributes to more inclusive and adaptive products, and also the use of new technologies
