Information about wearing standardized and fastened helmets has yet to be explicitly conveyed at the national level to workers in Indonesia. This study aims to determine related factors to standardized helmet usage (use of helmets that meet national standards and fastened clasp) among workers in Indonesia in 2018. The analysis used secondary data from the Indonesian Basic Health Research in 2018. The research design was cross-sectional, with the number of samples that met the inclusion criteria being 278,404 workers of productive age (18-64 years) from 34 provinces in Indonesia. The variables used consist of socio-demographic data, socioeconomic status, and knowing how to use helmets for workers in Indonesia. The data analysis used multivariate logistic regression statistical methods to determine the relationship between the type of work and other factors in standardized helmet use. Most respondents are workers in the informal sector (77.0%), whereby 40.6% used standardized helmets. The multivariate logistic regression model showed that the factors associated with standardized helmet use include education, place of residence (urban), occupation, and social status. The higher the level of education and social status of the worker, the higher their awareness of standardized helmet usage when driving. Therefore, it is necessary to increase awareness of standardized helmet usage, especially for workers in the informal sector with low education and socioeconomic status. Standardized helmet usage by workers provides greater protection against head injuries and reduces the severity of injuries among motorcyclists.

This research aims to evaluate the impact of knowledge management (KM) factors, including acquisition, sharing, application, and protection on students’ behavioral intention to use m-learning. Unlike the previous m-learning empirical studies which primarily relied on structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis, this research employs an emerging hybrid analysis approach using SEM and artificial neural network (ANN) based on deep learning. This research also applies the importance-performance map analysis (IPMA) to identify the importance and performance of each factor. Through the means of an online survey, a total of 319 IT undergraduate students have participated in the study. The findings indicated that all KM factors have significant positive impacts on m-learning adoption except knowledge sharing. The analysis of both ANN and IPMA revealed that knowledge protection is the most crucial predictor of behavioral intention. Theoretically, the proposed model has provided ample explanations concerning what impacts the behavioral intention to use m-learning from the perspective of KM factors at the individual level. Practically, the results will enable decision-makers and practitioners in higher educational institutions to determine which factors should be given more importance than others and strategize their policies accordingly. Methodologically, this research ascertains the capability of the deep ANN architecture in determining the non-linear relationships among the factors in the theoretical model.

Flood is the major natural hazard in Malaysia in terms of populations affected, area extent, frequency, social–economic damage, and flood duration. This shows the importance of providing comprehensive and effective flood mitigation management, which requires government agencies to enhance their employment performance that involves technological innovation. A flood early warning and response system (FEWRS) is essential to ensure that all stakeholders receive the right information and are provided with necessary actions and response information to avoid loss of lives and property. It should have some effective usability features and success components of its strategic information access and display; existing FEWRS fail and often do not effectively provide information on flood disasters to reduce their impacts at a local level to save the population’s lives. The measurement of information system (IS) success remains a top concern for researchers, managers, and practitioners. Therefore, this study seeks to provide a systematic overview of the most successful model of employment-related technical advancement for the management of flood disasters to improve its employees’ performance. In addition, examined factors that affect the successful implementation of flood management approaches, based on a systematic literature review among IS, show interrelationship of success factors. Findings from the literature suggest that the DeLone and McLean (D&M) model is the most widely employed model, recorded in 28 studies (39%). Further description of the 28 studies indicates that the D&M was either adopted alone or integrated with other theories. Moreover, results suggest the D&M is has been applied alone 39% of the time and has been extended 29% of the time; in total, 68% of the time, D&M has been applied either alone or extended in the information system domain. Additionally, 22% of the time it has been integrated with other theories.

A tremendous amount of research indicated that KM factors have significant impacts on different technologies at the organizational level. What is not yet clear is the influence of these factors on technology adoption at the individual level. On the other hand, the understanding of students’ behavioral intention to use m-learning systems is still an ongoing research issue. Thus, the main theoretical contribution of this study is to investigate the impact of KM factors (i.e., acquisition, sharing, application, and protection) on m-learning adoption at the individual level, and to identify the importance and performance of each factor using the importance-performance map analysis (IPMA) technique through SmartPLS. A total of 319 IT undergraduate students enrolled at Al Buraimi University College in Oman took part in the study by the medium of online survey. In terms of importance, the empirical data analysis through IPMA exhibited that knowledge protection is the most important factor in determining the students’ behavioral intention to use m-learning. Concerning performance, the findings also triggered out that both knowledge sharing and knowledge protection perform well in determining the students’ behavioral intention to use m-learning.

The wide spectrum use of mobile devices has brought numerous opportunities to develop and design Mobile Learning (M-learning) applications that will assist learners in their studies. From the M-learning perspective, in order to improve the learners' capabilities through the use of mobile devices, Knowledge Management (KM) processes (Knowledge Acquisition, Knowledge Sharing, Knowledge Application, and Knowledge Protection) should be incorporated in M-learning applications. The literature shows that several research studies were carried out with the aim of developing M-learning applications. Due to the lack of literature on examining the impact of KM processes on M-learning acceptance theoretically and practically, the main objective of this study is to develop a M-learning application that enables KM processes (Acquisition, Sharing, Application, and Protection). Moreover, the paper describes the M-learning application framework that was developed based on KM processes. In addition, the paper deliberates the implementation of the application in two different universities in two different regions, namely: Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) in Malaysia, and Al Buraimi University College (BUC) in Oman. Other implications and discussions are also presented in the paper.
