The territory of the occipital artery located between the c1 and c4 vertebra (left). The territory of the transverse cervical artery located between the second cervical vertebra and the third thoracic vertebra (left). It is thought that the area is bounded to the territory of the occipital artery, circumflex scapular artery, and dorsal intercostal perforator artery. So a pre-expanded occipito-cervico-dorsal skin flap can be harvested from back of the shoulder and can be rotated to the neck (right).

Purpose: Neck defects usually occur after burn contracture release and benign or malignant neck tumor excisions. Frequently used neck skin reconstruction methods are skin grafting, Z-Plasties, skin pedicled or perforator flaps, and free flaps. Pre-expanded perforator skin flaps are useful options for skin defect reconstructions. Pre-expansion of th...

Syndactyly consists of a variable fusion of soft tissue or of bone in adjacent fingers. This has important aesthetic and functional impacts on the development of the child due to the abnormal appearance of the hand. When the 1st web space is affected, it compromises grasp and development of the clamp function. Affliction of the 2nd, 3rd or 4th webs...

Burn contractures produce restrictions in motion and unacceptable aesthetic results, frequently with persistent wounds. Proper planning and tissue selection are essential to minimize donor site morbidity optimizing outcomes. The principle of burn reconstructive surgery requires that the defects after release should be replaced with donor tissues wh...

The impact of fibrin glue on helical composite graft take and outcome after reconstruction of the soft triangle of the nose was demonstrated. A superior helical ear composite graft was harvested for the reconstruction of the soft triangle of the left nostril. Fibrin glue is used frequently with split-thickness skin grafts but not with composite gra...
