Questions: How high is the diversity of the lichen-forming, lichenicolous and lichen-related fungi in Teremky woodland? How reprentative is the old-growth oak forest by Indicators of Ecological Continuity for the woodland? Location: Kyiv Region, Ukraine Materials and methods: аbout 80% of the observations were made during the autumn-winter blackout within 3 hours in the woodland per day; microscope technique Nomenclature: Index Fungorum, POWO 2023, Mucina et al. 2016 Results: The list of 126 species of lichen-forming, lichenicolous fungi and lichen-related fungi from 75 genera, 32 families, 19 orders, 8 classes and 2 divisions have been provided for the Teremky woodland as a part of the Holosiivskyi National Nature Park (Kyiv, Ukraine). Lichen-forming fungi are represented by 105 species, lichenicolous fungi – by 13 species, and lichen-related fungi (facultative lichens or semi-lichens) – by 8 species. Among them 54 species of lichens, lichenicolous and lichen-related fungi are new for the Holosiivskyi National Nature Park, 35 species new to the Kyiv region, 10 species new to the lowland part of Ukraine and three species new to Ukraine. Corticolous lichen species (101 species, 84%) are predominantly found in the Teremky woodland. It is highest representation on Quercus robur (72 species), but the peculiarity of the woodland is the presence of a significant number of old-growth Prunus avium trees with 44 corticolous species. The most abundant lichens (more then 11 locations) in the Teremky woodland are 19 species (15%), while more than half of the species (71 species, 56%) are rare (1–3 locations). Eight indicator species of the ecological continuity for woodland as Acrocordia gemmata, Anisomeridium biforme, Bactrospora dryina, Bacidia rubella, Chaenotheca phaeocephala, Ch. trichialis, Eopyrenula leucoplaca, Toniniopsis separabilis were found in the Teremky woodland, which is sufficient to indicate high representativeness (category B) of Central-European hornbeam-oak habitats. The maximum diversity of corticolous lichen-forming, lichenicolous and lichen-related fungi is 63 species per hectare, which can be used as a baseline for comparison with other forest habitats of the plain part of Ukraine. The indicator qualities of corticolous lichen-forming fungi are discussed.

The genus Lichenoconium (Lichenoconiaceae, Ascomycota) in Ukraine. Ukrainian Botanical Journal, 76(2): 101-113. Abstract. Revision of Ukrainian Lichenoconium specimens is provided. This genus is characterized by immersed to semi-immersed black globose conidiomata, phialidic hyaline conidiogenous cells and olive to brown simple conidia. Seven species of the genus are reported from the territory of Ukraine. These are L. aeruginosum, L. erodens, L. lecanorae, L. lichenicola, L. pyxidatae, L. usneae and L. xanthoriae. These species were found on thalli and apothecia of 18 different genera of lichens. Lichenoconium aeruginosum, L. lichenicola and L. pyxidatae have clear host specificity and grow only on one host genus. Other four species do not have host specificity. Lichenoconium erodens and L. lecanorae are widespread in Ukraine. Lichenoconium usneae is reported for the first time from the steppe zone of Ukraine. Seirophora lacunosa is a new host species of L. usneae. New localities of L. lichenicola and discussion about older dubious records are presented. Investigated Licheniconium species has parasitic life-strategy and affected the lichens that have mechanical damage or those weakened by other lichenicolous fungi. Lichenoconium pyxidatae and Didymocyrtis cladoniicola play an important role in regulating the populations of Cladonia foliacea in the Lower Dnipro sands. This phenomenon is known as "phomosis of Cladonia". Description, host lichens species, data about distribution in Ukraine, examined specimens and notes are provided for each species. An original identification key for Ukrainian species of Lichenoconium is given. Keywords: host specificity, lichenicolous fungi, parasitic life-strategy Дармостук В.В. 2019.

Three species of lichenicolous fungi are for first time reported in Ukraine from Chornohora Mountain Range. These are Arthonia subvarians, Didymocyrtis melanelixiae and Polycoccum umbilicariae. A. subvarians is the poorly known European species, characterized by slightly convex arthonioid ascomata, green-brown epithecium, hyaline to olive hymenium, K+ wine-red, clavate (4–)8-spored bitunicate asci and hyaline 1-septate soleiform ascospore. This species, together with Cercidospora epipolytropa and Intralichen baccisporus, grows on apothecia of Lecanora polytropa and produces dark necrotic spots on host. The taxonomic discussion and comparison with A. apotheciorum are provided. Didymocyrtis melanelixiae is characterized by immersed black globose conidiomata, ampuliform conidiogenous cells and broadly ellipsoid аseptate 1–2-guttulate hyaline conidia. It grows on thallus of Platismatia glauca together with Lichenoconium erodens and produces dark necrotic spots with the black edge. Polycoccum umbilicariae is the rarely reported species, characterized by black immersed to semi-immersed globous ascomata, hymenium without hamathecial filaments, clavate (4–)8-spored fisitunicate asci and olive to dark-brown ellipsoid (0–)1-septate smooth-walled ascospore. It growth on thallus of Umbilicaria cylindrica and produces decolorized spots with destroyed upper cortex. U. cylindrica is a new host species for Polycoccum umbilicariae. The discussion about current taxonomic position and comparison with the specimens of same species growing on another hosts are presented. Description, list of host lichens species, data about distribution in Ukraine and examined specimens are provided for each species.
