The resolution is considered as one of the most important factors which controls the quality of the printed image, whether input resolution (digital camera–scanner) or output resolution (printer–computer to film, plate or paper). The research discusses the accuracy of the input resolution of image processing equipment for digital files through usin...

Among the materials that might be manufactured with laser powder bed fusion (LPBF), one can highlight maraging steels, with excellent weldability, strength and fracture toughness. However, the effects of the processing parameters and the mechanisms governing the as-built texture are not clear yet. A recent publication showed a low texture index in...

There are two problems that underlie the classroom action research. First, the learning process is still dominated by lectures method and less empowering environment to develop the lesson materials. As a result, student competence is still far from expectations. Based on preliminary observations, in terms of daily test results VIII C grade on the s...

There are many events throughout the school year, which may be in the following areas: exact, social, human or biological. Participation in these events is evidenced by coordinating of the event with the certificates issuance, as a rule, it is printed or sent via email sporadically. The printed certificates issuance in events requires time of human...

Numerous religious texts were printed that would have been censored, elsewhere including Jewish religious texts. Yet freedom had its limits. In August 1701, Amsterdam’s judiciary council ordered the books authored by the Danish visionary Oliger Paulli, who advocated for a new religion uniting Jews and Christians, to be destroyed. In addition, the c...

Visuals from the digital camera scanner are not completely conveyed, though, only under a scanning pattern with the specific resolution and number of tone values or grey levels [5]. Flash floods commonly occur in urban areas due to a short period of heavy rainfall associated with the large impervious area and inadequate drainage system. An increase in the uncertainty of predicting flash floods, especially due to climate change, reduces the accuracy of the existing flood forecasting system. In such cases, the affected zone’s actual flood level data is required for more effective flood management and incident response. This study aims to develop a mobile application called Flood Meter to identify flood levels in real-time. It measured the flood level based on object scale and images taken by mobile phones. Although the validation using an actual flood event with three different types of mobile phones shows lack of accuracy but by considered the maximum flood level only 0.17 m and the result keep improving when flood level increase, it shows a potentially good agreement compared with manual measurement. The application can become an alternative method to disseminate accurate real-time flood situations as well as flood data collection for future flood risk management.

The main purpose of this study is to determine the visual contents that should be used in food business websites by neuromarketing measurement. It is inevitable that the visual content planning to be made on a website will increase the experience performance of the users on that website. In this research, an experimental design was planned, and two websites were created from twenty-eight visual content items obtained from the literature. By creating the experimental procedure, an experimental area was prepared for eight subjects, and websites were shown to them. Electroencephalogram (EEG) and eye-tracking measurements were taken over the websites shown during the experiment. The results revealed that the experiment1 website using structured visual contents was more efficient on attention, higher concentration, and total fixation. The findings revealed that the anxiety level of the experiment2 website, which used unplanned visual contents, was more pronounced for the subjects. In light of the findings obtained in this study, professionals can create visual contents that they use on food business websites much more efficiently.

In general, the number of parts in a unit of a whole consisting of parts is called resolution. Digital screen images differ from images printed by the printing method because instead of DPI, the pixel dimensions and frequency of monitors, televisions, projectors, or other screens are considered. While the units used for the resolution of printed images are LPI (Lines per Inch ) or DPI ( Dots per Inch ), the unit that determines the resolution of the screen image is PPI ( Pixels per Inch ). In digital imaging, resolution is usually measured as the number of pixels. The higher the number of pixels per inch (PPI), the clearer and higher quality the image. A pixel is a single dot or small square in a graphic image stored in an ordered rectangular grid. Image resolution is usually expressed as a horizontal x vertical y dimension. So an image resolution of 6000 x 4000 means that the image is 6000 pixels wide and 4000 pixels high. Multiplying the two numbers together gives the second common specification, megapixels. 6000 x 4000 corresponds to 24,000,000 pixels, which are usually given as 24 megapixels (MP). Screen resolution is not to be confused with image resolution. The screen resolution indicates how many pixels there are on the entire screen. For example, dots per inch on a 24.5-inch 1920x1080 monitor differs from dots per inch on a 27-inch 1920x1080 monitor. Print resolution is the most important parameter that determines print quality. After all, what exactly is print resolution and how important is it really when choosing a printer, imager or digital printer? The resolution of images printed by a printing process is a measure of how many dots fit on an inch. The higher the number of dots per inch (DPI), the higher the resolution of the image. The number of dots per inch that can be printed is the quality parameter for the printed image.

Forecasting of the quality estimation the color reproduction for selection of the optimum printing system from the available range and the achievement of the required quality of multicolor products justifies the urgent problem. To solve the problem, a procedure of quality estimation of color reproduction using tools of the CIE L * a * b * – 1976 colorimetric model was used, i. e. the volume of color gamut body and the set of its cross sections. Practical implementation of the approach for complex estimation of the color reproduction quality in digital printing systems and its computer visualization is shown on the example of the "laser (LED) printer-paper" printing system. It is noted that the estimation of color reproduction using the volume index of the gamut body and the set of its sections, as an element of computer graphics for visualizing the result, interprets the accuracy of reproduction of the multicolor image as for the original.

During the actual printing of presswork, some restrictive factors have led to many quality defects, which are hard to be real-timely discovered by human eyes and may cause great economic losses. Based on the principle of computer vision, we construct a monitoring system of presswork quality for high-speed printing. To overcome the shortcoming of image ''motion blur'' phenomenon in high-speed printing, we present a synchronous transient exposure method, which greatly improves image definition. Based on this approach, synchronous signal acquisition module, synchronous lighting module, horizontally scanning module are designed and implemented. Experiment and field test results demonstrate that the dynamic resolution of CCD and image definition are improved and our system shows better real-time performance, higher stability and stronger anti-interference capacity, et al.

Silk fabric was first developed in ancient China, and Chinese silk also promoted the first world large-scale commercial exchanges between the East and the West. Digital printing is a technical breakthrough in the field of traditional printing and dyeing industry, which can also improve the value of the silk. There is a long history of making books by silk, and the recent revival of silk books also put forward new demands to digital printing. There exist two methods for printing book, both of which have their disadvantages. We propose a fast digital printing method for silk book which combines the advantages of the previous two methods. As the silk book has become a new choice for book collection, we believe that the proposed method will largely accelerate the popularity of silk book.

We propose a method for digital printing which is novel and efficient. Digital printing is a technical breakthrough in the field of traditional printing and dyeing industry, which is also an effective solution to solve the three high problem, namely, high energy consumption, high noise, high pollution, in the traditional printing and dyeing industry. However, the widely used methods in printing and dyeing system have some deficiencies, such as the low performance of the PC processor and the limitation of transferring data by parallel interface. The proposed method takes advantage of multi-core processor, DMA and RAID technology. Multi-core processor can speed up the processing of the print command and the print images, while DMA technology can minimize the intervention of the CPU to input/output operations which makes the CPU more effective to process the images. Furthermore, the use of RAID technology can improve the access speed of the hard disk which leading to the efficiency improvement of the entire computer system. As we can see that the combination of those three technologies can greatly improve the efficiency of digital printing machine, thus speeding up the popularity of digital printing.
