... the east wall of the naos are fragments of the scene of the Crucifixion, although it is not well preserved, we see a depiction of the Virgin Mary similar to the one from the first section of the Church. This scene if followed by a vivid depiction of the Virgin Mary on the apse of the conch of the chapel as a part of the Deesis (δέησις) 21 scene ( fig. 15). In this painting, Christ in glory is depicted in the middle with the Virgin Mary on his right side while John the Baptist on his left side. This depiction of the Virgin Mary is another Panagia Agiosoritissa (Ἁγιοσορίτισσα) where Mary is depicted with both hands raised in prayer.
