In recent years, "digital transformation" has been mentioned more and more in most social aspects of life, including education. Digital transformation takes advantage of every opportunity that technology offers and can create an ecosystem in digital education to connect teachers, learners, and countries with new learning models. Besides, a technology trend that has been gaining traction is "gamification." In many countries, games are used in education to engage students through digital media, utilizing platforms or applications that require digital devices such as tablets, smartphones, or computers. However, to be able to apply it in Vietnam, various issues need to be addressed. The study polled 245 secondary and high school teachers in Vietnam to find out what factors influence the use of digital games in teaching in high schools in Northern Vietnam. The findings revealed that the teacher factor significantly affects the usage of digital games in the classroom. Gamification is becoming more relevant, especially after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and quarantine. The purpose of our paper is to analyse the changes which occurred in the effects of gamification on e-learning as a result of the COVID-19 quarantine emergence in the spring of 2020. This paper describes the scientific contributions about the game elements most frequently implemented and their effects on those that use e-learning platforms, as well as the factors that contribute to the development of effective gamification in e-learning before and during the pandemic. Drawing upon the PRISMA framework, a number of 103 articles were identified in two databases: the Web of Science and Scopus. This paper discusses the previous works associated with the corpus of knowledge built around gamification in the past decade. This research shows that before the COVID-19 pandemic, even though many papers were written on gamification in education prior to 2019, there is a trend regarding the multiple mentions of using storylines, challenges, or badges in order to create and maintain competition among users, which in turn may influence and increase the level of social interactions and the coalescence of communities.

Several studies have been conducted in the field of Technology Enhanced Learning(TEL) have shown that the adaptation to learner’s learning styles is a task that must be taken into account during the design phase of the educational sequences to increase the student’s motivation. Cognitive psychologists have proposed various models of style, which it’s often represented by using multiple dimensions statistically estimated, each model suggests an instrument for measuring an individual’s learning style. Most of them use questionnaires such as (Honey and Mumford (1992), Kolb (1984), Index of Learning Styles (ILS)). For this reason, the main aim of this paper is to show the results of a study that was addressed to doctoral students. The sample of the population was made up of 300 persons. The main finding of this paper is: • To illustrate the effectiveness of the French version of the Index Learning Styles (ILS) and uses factor analysis for an investigation into various dimensions to help students decrease the time spent on this test. • The generation of an adaptable learning game (LG) and the development of a new version of the eAdventure authoring tool based on E-ILS, capable of fixing learners’ preferences (desires, habits, etc.).

Game-Based Learning (GBL) has become extensively used in Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL) as a substitute for traditional education methods. Moreover, research has been done in this field proves that it’s very interesting for Learning Game (LG) designers to integrate the latest technologies in order to augment GBL efficiency and to reach more learners. On the other hand, context awareness and adaptation are a crucial aspect in mobile game-based learning. It is thus necessary to place at the disposal of the learner player an adaptive mobile game based learning according to the context. However, the contextualisation in the training is not easy to reach. The diversity of mobile technologies and dynam-ics in mobile environments complicate the process of contextualisation. Further-more, migration and implementation of these novel technologies can be very pricey and require more informatics knowledge and time, which can lead to a huge loss. Thus, the main purpose of this article is to present the proposed e-Adventure architecture using the ZeroCouplage multi-platform Framework that was introduced to solve this problem. We code once and the context awareness for mobile game-based learning is automatically generated.
