Seed of Life and Egg of Life Symbolism Today, these symbols are still found in sacred manuscripts, temples, synagogues and local art works. Archeological research work revealed that the oldest known example of Flower of Life is at The Temple of Osiris at Abydos, Egypt (Figure 4). It is carbon dated to 10,500B.C. Other examples include Forbidden City and various temples in China; ancient synagogues in Galilee and Masada, Israel; The Harimandir Sahib (Golden Temple), Hampi and the Buddhist Temples in Ajanta India; City of Ephesus, in Izmar, Turkey; and Cordoba, in 'la Mezquita' Spain. The general submission is that the universe is composed of a fundamental pattern that can be observed in everything from tiniest microscopic object to infinitely huge ones. The Flower of Life symbolizes creation and reminds us of the unity of everything
