There are some techniques to show the smartphone’s content on an external display in large. However, since smartphones are designed for mobility, a seamless interaction is necessary to make the best use of external display by a smartphone. We are currently exploring the feasibility of another technique, which we call Screen Extension. Our technique...

... technique provides additional display spaces to a smartphone using an external display by mirroring the smartphone's screen at the center of the external display on the same scale and by filling the rest with the off-screen content of the smartphone (Figure 2). We named our technique Screen Extension and the additional display space Extended Screen after the research by Grubert et al. [2]. ...

The article is devoted to a pilot study of the reverse-bladed pump. The characteristics of the reverse bladed pump are the identical parameters on flow, the head, power, energy efficiency on direct and the return operating modes (at rotation of a rotor of the pump both in one and to the opposite side). The model reversible axial pump with two impel...

This paper proposes a multi-screen adaptive displaying (MSAD) framework that can enable the assembling of heterogeneous mobile devices into one multi-screen displaying equipment based on the Internet of People. According to our review of relevant research, this is the first framework that provides the following features: (1) the static image, dynamic video, or running text can be properly divided into multiple parts based on the relative positions and screen sizes of different mobile devices, (2) the splitting image, video, or running text can be immediately translated, resized, and previewed on the mobile device in an augmented reality manner, and (3) the different parts of a video or running text can be synchronically played on multiple mobile devices with different computing speeds and screen resolutions. An Android-based prototype with a splitting server is implemented to verify the feasibility and superiority of our MSAD framework. Experimental results show that our framework manipulates the desired content much faster than existing methods/systems and can significantly reduce the total operating time. Moreover, MSAD can effectively alleviate the displaying time inconsistency and unsynchronized content gap on heterogeneous mobile devices.
