Plants provide shelter, clothing, food, flavours and fragrances. Today more people take medicine from medicinal plant. According to World Health Organization (WHO) 80% of medicine, is produced from medicinal plants. Globally, the herbal medicines market was valued at USD 170 billion in 2022, and it will reach USD 600 billion by 2033, growing 15% annually from 2023 to 2033. Dendrobium longicornu is one of the most important medicinal plants in the world. D. longicornu belong Orchidaceae family and it is largest genera in Ochidaceae. It grows on tree trunks in mountain forests as an epiphytic orchid. Commonly D. longicornu, known as the 'Long-horned Dendrobium. It is an important traditional medicinal plant that used various disease in Asia. Mainly D. longicornu is found in the mountainous regions of Northeast India, Bhutam, Nepal, Tibet, Myanmar, and southern China. It has many bioactive compounds such as 14-methyl-pentadecanoic acid (6.39 %) and 8-Methyl-6-nonenoic acid 9-Hexadecyn-1-ol, 3-Heptadecanol and Pentafluoropropionatetrans-2-dodecen-1-ol. In this paper, the main aim of the study is demonstrating the antioxident, anticancer and antibacterial activities of D. longicornu.
... Su et al. revealed that kaempferol, quercetin, and isoscutellarein, which were all isolated from HDW, have the capacity to inhibit proliferation and angiogenesis of non-small cell lung cancer cells by decreasing the VEGF, PI3K/Akt, and mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathways. Furthermore, 4vinylphenol from HDW aqueous extract was found as a styrene metabolite that could be changed from p-coumaric acid by enzymatic reaction and had pulmonary and hepatotoxicity at high dosages [43,45,46] . Future studies should explore new and better solutions, such as combining with other vectors to act on certain signalling pathways via targeted drug delivery systems and combining with other anticancer medications to boost the susceptibility of cancer cells to chemotherapy [42] . ...

In human chronic myeloid leukaemia, the tyrosine-kinase oncogene BCR/ABL1 is one of the key factors that determine most of its characteristics. Myeloproliferative diseases such as chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) account for 15% of all new cases of leukemia, affecting 1-2 new cases per 100,000 every year. According to recent studies, the CRISPR/Cas9 system may be a definitive treatment option for chronic myeloid leukaemia. Scientists use genome editing technologies to add, remove, or alter genetic material at specific locations in the genome of an organism. Genome editing also goes by the name of gene editing because it allows scientists to change an organism's DNA. Nowadays, worldwide various genome editing has been discovered. But, in biomedical research, CRISPR/Cas9 (clustered regularly interspaced palindromic repeats) has caused a major revolution ingenome editing. Using CRISPR/Cas9 libraries and technology applications; we can achieve our goal of curing acute myeloid leukaemia within decades. In this review, we will discuss chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) disease and future advances in genome editing that might help treat it. The novel technology will also be described in terms of its difficulties and ethical controversies.
