... tests by Microbac in the USA, on their DN 110, 160 and 200 joints, reached breaking loads between 2.9 and 3.8 times the equivalent thrust from the pipe's PN, that is 1.4 to 1.9 times the trust from a 2xPN test pressure. As usual in static loading, the pipes would break at the "C" grip (Figure 9), which highlights the importance of improving the bite.
