The purpose of this paper is to explore the medical library
professionals’ usage of management functions in North-East India. A structured questionnaire consisting of thirty-eight items of management functions with five-point Likert scale is applied to 20 usable responses. Four management functions are planning, organizing, leading and controlling. Results indicate that all
elements from four identified management functions are significant with respect to the medical library professionals’ usage. The results are expected to provide a practical contribution in the area of medical librarianship and in understanding library professionals’ knowledge in the medical library management. Medical college administrators can improve library services.
