The present study was conducted with the samples collected in 10 different stations in Kırıkhan district and vicinity in 2012-2014. The samples were collected from tree barks, leaves, wood and other decayed plant material. The collected materials were used in Moist Chamber Culture to develop myxomycetes sporophores. Furthermore, myxomycetes were co...

... mean number of species per genus (S/G) was calculated based on the collected datasets in the study area. In the present study, it was determined that 9 species were abundant (A), 4 species were common (C), 7 species were occasional (O), and 25 species were rare (R) ( Table 2). The mean number of species per genus (S/G) was calculated with the data collected in the study area and it was determined that the species/genus ratio (S/G) was 2.04. ...

... Echinosteliida and Protosteliida were in one family and one species: 1 Echinosteliacea (Echinostelium 1), 1 Ceratiomyxaceae (Ceratiomyxa 1). The prevalence of the related groups were consistent with previous studies conducted in Turkey (ocak 2015, Ergül et al. 2016, Baba et al. 2019, 2020. ...
... In myxomycetes studies conducted in Turkey, it was reported that the most prevalent species were Arcyria, Badhamia, Didymium, and Physarum (ocak 2015, Ergül et al. 2016, Baba et al. 2019, 2020. In the present study, it was observed that Physarum, Didymium, Arcyria and Perichaena included the maximum number of species. ...

Samples were collected in Adana province during 2019-2021 and myxomycetes were cultured using the moist chamber technique. The samples consisted of rotten or live tree bark, leaves, rashes, vegetable, and animal material, which were considered likely to contain myxomycete spores. In adddition, natural myxomycete samples were collected at nine different stations. These 'natural samples' were immediately dried and potential spore-bearing material was kept in a warm and humid environment with the moist chamber technique. In total, 56 myxomycetes (205 samples; 148 by moist chamber technique and 57 'natural samples') were obtained representing six orders, 12 families, 24 genera and 56 species. Eight species were collected only in natural samples, 35 species were obtained only by moist chamber technique in the laboratory, and 13 species were obtained by both methods. Two myxomycetes as new records (Licea rugosa and Physarum nivale) and one new locality (Cribraria lepida) were identified in Turkey.

Also, these by-products are often used for the preparation of soil fertilizers and livestock feeds, however, the active ingredients (polyphenols, stilbene, etc.) derived from by-products have a high potential for human health (29,35,36). Phenolic compounds found in wine attracted great attention because of their antioxidant attributes and potential benefits for human health (37). Also, the total polyphenol contents of grape seed and peel were examined, taking into account the knowledge that there are active compounds remaining in the grape pulp, which supports previous studies on the significance of profitable and sustainable usage of wine byproducts (27). ...

Many people in the world suffer from injuries, burns and cuts caused by accidents, fires and diseases, and their quality of life decreases. To improve the quality of life and to overcome victimization, the healing of the problem wound must be dealt with in a very comprehensive way. Wound healing is a very comprehensive and systematic process. There are many local and systematic factors that affect this process, such as oxygenation defects, hypoxia, ischemia, stress, aging, diabetes. These factors prolong the wound healing process or cause chronic wounds that do not heal. Increasing evidence shows that reactive oxygen species (ROS) are one of the most important factors affecting wound healing in the wound healing process. Reactive oxygen species are at the center of an effective wound healing process. While low reactive oxygen species concentration has positive effects on wound healing, high reactive oxygen species concentration negatively affects wound healing. This review examines the relationship between reactive oxygen species and wound healing.

In this study, 309 myxomycete species reported so far in Türkiye are listed. Previously, in the checklist published in 2019, 286 species were reported. With the addition of new records and the removal of synonyms, the number of species have reached to 309 today. These species belong to 5 orders, 12 families and 45 genera. Physarida and Physarum are the largest order and genus, respectively, containing the highest number of species. Türkiye is not poor in terms of myxobiota. However, studies on Myxomycetes in this country are still insufficient.

In this study, we describe the occurrence and geographical distribution of Fuligo Haller species in Turkey, based on herbarium specimens and author collections in various city and ecosystems. Fuligo Haller genus species investigations were obtained from Turkey until 2023. As a result of the researches, 2 species of Fuligo Haller genus members were recorded in Turkey, these are: Fuligo cinerea (Schwein.) Morgan and F. septica (L.) F.H. Wigg. Description, synonyms, comments, habitat, ecology, distribution are given in alphabetical order. The taxonomic treatment includes a key to species, generic and specific descriptions, photos, habitat data and comments are given.
