... Earlier I published results of my previous odonatological excursions to Preah Sihanouk Province in April 2010 (Kosterin 2010), May 2013 (Kosterin 2014) and April 2015 (Kosterin 2015a). Additional trips in March 2017 and November 2018 provided some further findings which are presented here. ...
... Interestingly, the genus Libellago is represented here by L. lineata (Bur meister, 1839) only (Fig. 7) Table 2 in a localitywise manner. The ten localities studied in 20102015 are coded in Kosterin (2015a) as R1R10, mostly along the main road from northwest to southeast. Some of these localities were examined also in 2017 and 2018 and for consistency I retain the same designations (and provide the coordinate ranges for the areas actually examined in these years), but have to add more out of geographical order for newly examined localities. ...
... A swamp with thin dead (old burnt) forest at a small rivulet (R3 in Kosterin (2015a) is the same rivulet downstream); the water of variable depth, with Utricularia spp. with yellow and white flowers; the bottom partly muddy, partly firm with patches of Eleo ...
... In Cambodia, this area is divided by Koh Kong, Preah Sihanouk, Kampot and Kep Provinces. Earlier the first author (O.K.) published results of several previous odonatological excursions of the foothills in Koh Kong Pro vince in April (Kosterin 2010) and November/December 2010 (Kosterin 2011), August 2011 (Kosterin 2012), May 2013 (Kosterin 2014a) and April 2015 (Kosterin 2015a). Rich photographic data by the second author (G.C.), who is a permanent resident of Ta tai Commune of Koh Kong Province, recorded more interesting species in the Carda monean foothills (Kosterin et al., 2012; Kosterin & Chartier 2014. ...
... In Cambodia, this spe cies was once found deeper in the Cambodian Cardamom in Pursat Province, where these mountains are formed by igneous rocks rather than sandstone , once at the Kbal Spean River on the Phnom Kulen Massif in northern Cambodia (14.06.2018, unpublished), and appeared numerous in Mondulkiri Province in the east (Kosterin 2016a). One indi vidual of Tetrathemis sp. was observed but not collected in Ream National Park, Preah Si hanouk Province that is in the easternmost part of the Cardamom Ecoregion (Kosterin 2015a); the proved presence of two species in this ecoregion makes it an interesting issue which of them occurs there. There may be even three options, for the Sondaic species T. irregularis has been reported for the Vietnamese island of Phú Quốc (Bùi 2008). ...
... The road from Koh Kong to Pursat crosses the Cardamonean foothills, which at the distance of some 2030 km from Koh Kong are mostly covered with still little disturbed primary evergreen tropical forests (but underwent a strong recent deforestation further on, see Kosterin 2015a). Localities at these relatively undisturbed areas close to Koh Kong were examined by O. K. in 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2016 and provided a rich dragonfly fauna reported in a number of previous communications (Kosterin 2011; 2012; 2014a; 2015d; 2016b; Kosterin et al. 2015. ...
... No individual of this species was found during earlier visits to the same locality on 27 v 2013 and 27 iii 2015 (Kosterin 2015a); note the latter date to be in the same season as when the new species was found (4-5 iii 2017). For other Odonata species found in this locality see Kosterin ( , 2015a. ...

Amphicnemis valentini sp. nov. is described from the Ream Peninsula of Cambodia (holotype: Cambodia, Preah Sihanouk Province, Ream Peninsula, 10.52258 N 103.69556 E, RMNH) and Phú Quốc Island, Kien Giang Province of Vietnam, both in the Cardamom ecoregion. It is similar to A. gracilis Krüger, 1898, which occurs in Peninsular Malaysia and Sumatra, but differs from it by a long process on the male prothorax.

23 species of Euphaeidae (Odonata: Zygoptera) are reported from Vietnam including two new species of Euphaea, E. saola Phan & Hayashi, sp. nov. and E. sanguinea Kompier & Hayashi, sp. nov., and four species not recorded previously, Bayadera continentalis Asahina, 1973, B. hyalina Selys, 1879, B. nephelopennis Davies & Yang, 1996 and Euphaea pahyapi Hämäläinen, 1985. The females of Anisopleura bipugio Hämäläinen & Karube, 2013, Bayadera serrata Davies & Yang, 1996 and Euphaea hirta Hämäläinen & Karube, 2001 are described for the first time. The mutual taxonomic status of Bayadera hyalina and B. strigata Davies & Yang, 1996 is discussed. Distribution maps of all known Vietnamese species, with detailed distribution records, are provided.
... The trees at that side of the road looked younger damselfly paradise, but damselflies were rather scarce (all males, collected): O.K. managed to spot two Ceriagrion cerinorubellum (Brauer, 1865), one Aciagrion hisopa (Selys, 1876), one Pseudagrion williamsoni Fraser, 1922, one P. australasiae Selys, 1876 and one P. microcephalum (Rambur, 1842). The two latter were found just several metres apart at the same ditch of deeper open water; a rare case when these superficially very similar species, seemingly tending to exclude each other (Kosterin 2015a), occurred together. The habitat fitted best for Agriocnemis spp., but net sweeping provided quite a few Mortonagrion falcatum Lieftinck, 1934 of both sexes (4 ♂♂, 4 ♀♀ collected), a species so far reported for Cambodia by only one male collected at Tatai village (Kosterin 2011), but no formally Agriocnemis species (the separation of Mortonagrion from Agriocnemis is artificial for a formal venation character and the former, with some exceptions, seems to be just a clade inside the hence paraphyletic Agriocnemis, see Dow 2011). ...

The Odonata fauna of flat marshy areas of the Gulf of Siam coast in Koh Kong Province of Cambodia, containing 55 species, is considered. The published data of 2010-2013 and new data of 2014 and 2016 on the surroundings of Koh Kong town are compiled and the first data on the area of large swampy Melaleuca forests at Andoung Tuek village are presented as well as some occasional photographic records. Gynacantha bayadera, Lyriothemis mortoni and Pornothemis serrata were for the first time recorded for Cambodia. Mortonagrion falcatum was found unexpectedly abundant at Andoung Tuek.
... This is a matter of further, per haps molecular, studies. For the time being I tentatively assume the Bokor damsel flies to be A. migratum (Kosterin 2015f). ...
... They seem to avoid each other to exclude interspecies mating because of their very similar appearance. However in Cambodia, I found them together at least once in Ream National Park (Kosterin 2015f Pseudagrion pruinosum (Burmeister, 1839) Loc. 1 (river): 1 ♂ seen; Loc. 7: 1 ♂ collected, several ♂♂, 1 ♀ seen; Loc. ...
... Remarks. The species was described by the above mentioned specimens (Kosterin 2015f), for its live photos see the cited paper. In one of his latest papers, Asahina (1997) reported and depicted a bluepatterned Prodasneura male from Xuan Nha, Moc Chau, Son La Province, North Vietnam under an uncertain yet misleading identification "Prodasineura sp. ...

Results of an odonatological survey of Mondulkiri Province of Cambodia, at the foothills and Central Plateau of the Annamese Mts. in June 8 – June 17, 2014 are presented. Of 106 Odonata species met (46 zygopterans, 60 anisopterans), 97 were identified to previously known named species, of which 15 are reported for the first time for Cambodia, namely Mnais mneme Ris, 1916, Rhinocypha seducta Hämäläinen et Karube, 2001, Philoganga loringae Fraser, 1927, Rhinagrion hainanense Wilson et Reels, 2001, Amphiallagma parvum (Selys, 1876), Ceriagrion chaoi Asahina, 1967, Paracercion malayanum (Selys, 1876), Prodasineura doisuthepensis Hoess, 2007, Protosticta grandis Asahina, 1985, Tetracanthagyna waterhousei McLachlan, 1898, Gomphidia kruegeri Martin, 1904, Heliogomphus chaoi Karube, 2004, Leptogomphus baolocensis Karube, 2001, Microgomphus jurzitzai Karube, 2000, Onychothemis culminicola Förster, 1904, and two species for which the specimens collected on this trip were described as new subspecies: Indolestes gracilis expressior Kosterin, 2015, Coeliccia poungyi dasha Kosterin, 2016. Five species collected on this trip have been described elsewhere as new to science, namely Onychargia priydak Kosterin, 2015, Prodasineura hoffmanni Kosterin, 2015, Asiagomphus reinhardti Kosterin et Yokoi, 2016, Euthygomphus schorri Kosterin, 2016 and Risiophlebia guentheri Kosterin, 2015. So the total number of the first country records of named species made on this trip is 22. Still four species found may be undescribed. The number of named species recorded in Cambodia has reached 178. Remarks on taxonomy and variation of Euphaea masoni Selys, 1879, E. ochracea Selys, 1859, Aciagrion approximans (Selys, 1876), and Lamelligomphus castor Lieftinck, 1941 are provided. Characters of mature males of R. seducta are updated. Notes on habitats and habits of some species are provided. Onychothemis culminicola and O. testacea Laidlaw, 1902 seem to exclude each other at rivers, the former occupying smaller and more elevated ones; a putative hybrid male was observed. General notes on the area and field impressions are briefly outlined.

The butterfly (Papilionoidea) fauna of Cambodia is very rich but too insufficiently studied. Results are presented of occasional photographic records of butterflies (Lepidoptera, Papilionoidea) made in 2016–2019 (some also in 2006) along with studies on the Odonata fauna in 67 localities of western and northern provinces of Cambodia: Pursat, Siem Reap, Preah Vihear and Stung Treng. This paper completes the two previous communications of this series devoted to the south-western and eastern provinces of this country. In total, 162 identified and 13 provisionally identified species are listed; 22 species ( Miletus ancon , Arhopala agrata , A. alesia , A. allata , A. ammonides , A. atrax , A. aurelia , A. moolaiana , A. silhetensis , Drupadia theda , Anthene licates , Prosotas aluta , Danaus chrysippus , Cirrochroa surya , Doleschallia bisaltide , Athyma ranga , Euthalia recta , Burara oedipodea , Hasora chromus , Pseudocoladenia dan , Koruthalaios sindu , Parnara ganga ) are for the first time reported in literature for Cambodia. These and some problematic species are illustrated. Some misidentifications in the two first communications of the series are made; due to reidentification Arhopala camdana and Borbo cinnara are for the first time reported for Cambodia in literature.
