Although it is crucial to investigate the effect of tourism components on satisfaction and revisit intention, there has not been any similar study that specifically explores the perception of young tourists visiting water parks. This study aims to investigate the effect of attraction, accessibility, and facilities on satisfaction and revisit intention. Using quantitative research methods with 269 young water park tourists, the data were analyzed by using SEM-PLS modeling. The results reveal that attraction, accessibility, and main facilities are significant predictors of satisfaction and revisit intention of young wate r park tourists. Meanwhile, the role of supporting facilities is not as important as the main ones. Support facilities do not impact revisit intention through young tourist satisfaction, even though tourists are satisfied with the support facilities, these supporting facilities do not make them intend to revisit. This study also discovers an interesting finding, that support facilities, both directly and indirectly, had no effect on revisit intention, and satisfaction does not mediate the effect of support facilities on revisit intention. These findings provide a meaningful insight for water park managers to provide tourism components that satisfy visitors so they have a strong intention to revisit.

Collective contribution of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to economic growth is evident in many countries worldwide. On the other hand, however, it contributes also to environmental burdens the world already suffered today. This paper suggests that sustainable SMEs growth is attainable through Open Innovation (OI) concept. A model is developed with the aim to evaluate the role of OI in reducing SMEs environmental impact. The model development is conducted in two stages; first is identification of relevant variables. This is done by reviewing relevant OI models and select variables based on statistical characteristics; second is building logical relationships between the variables based on interviews and literature reviews. The development is iterative so each iteration can bring new information and update the model. Final model is presented in a causal loop diagram (CLD) and discussed.

Sustainable development in the tourism industry is a significant challenge requiring various stakeholders’ collaborative efforts. The tourism industry must adopt sustainable business practices and improve its performance to overcome this. Support system facilities, stakeholders, and the application of open innovation can help increase optimal performance and support in achieving a sustainable tourism industry. Therefore, the main objective of this research is to propose a collaborative model of open innovation, stakeholders, and support system facilities to develop a sustainable tourism industry in a dynamic and competitive environment. This study uses quantitative methods for analysis. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with the criteria of SMEs scattered around the tourist area. The research model was analyzed using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using data from 358 respondents from SMEs in the tourist area of Rembang Regency, Central Java, Indonesia, and Banyuwangi Regency, East Java, Indonesia. The study results show that performance improvements can significantly and positively affect the sustainability of the tourism industry. The tourism industry’s performance can be achieved by implementing open innovation, participation of stakeholders, support system facilities, and environmental dynamism. However, environmental competitiveness is not proven to improve the tourism industry’s performance because every organization and stakeholder is interdependent. Theoretically, this research contributes to the debate about how open innovation, stakeholders, support system facilities, and environmental dynamism can improve tourism’s performance, ultimately achieving a sustainable industry. Practically, this research benefits stakeholders and SMEs in formulating an appropriate policy for achieving a green industry.

The tourism industry has an important role in a region's economic growth and development. However, the success of the tourism industry is highly dependent on the strategic policies adopted to increase optimal performance. One way to increase the optimal performance of the tourism industry is to maximize support system facilities. Therefore, this study aims to optimize the performance of the tourism industry by selecting the right strategy based on the support system facilities variable. Support system facilities include telecommunication, power sources, transportation, waste management, location, clean water sources, supporting industries, spatial, hospitality, safety, and security. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method selects strategies based on support system facilities. Data is collected through a survey of tourism industry experts and related stakeholders. The results of this study indicate that indicators with high-ranking weights are telecommunication, spatial, and waste management, respectively. Each indicator is calculated for each sub-indicator to find out more in detail about producing the relative priority of the strategy. The analysis shows the importance of each factor in influencing the tourism industry's performance to assist decision-makers in planning and implementing effective strategies. Alternative strategies are prepared based on calculating the weighting of the criteria and sub-criteria. By considering support system facilities as an important factor, strategic decisions can be taken based on clear and measurable preferences.
