Infectious lithiasis complicated with acute pyelonephritis. This complication develops without anatomical distortion of the kidney. The images display inflammatory changes on excretory system and striated nephrogram in both, portal (A) and elimination (B) phases. In the non-contrast (C) phase the staghorn calculi is observed.

The purpose of this educational exhibit is to: Describe the imaging findings of the natural history of infectious lithiasis. Understand the importance of staghorn calculi in conditioning a chronic inflammatory disease.
